Took my daughter and her boyfriend to Lunch, staff friendly as normal, but my meal fish and chips was inedible ( I wasn't charged) fish had an ammonia taste, batter soft and all very greasy, mushy peas tasted rancid....in fact I would have been embarrassed to have served the dish. My daughter and her boyfriend had burgers which were ok,...

When in Canterbury you do expect old style and old fashion environment. You get all this in this charming pub. And the good food is certainly a great bonus. We went there with yound and older guests, and everyone enjoyed the meal from beginning to end !

Overall we had a really good nights sleep. During the day, it can get a little noisy, but it didn't bother us that much as we...

Visited white cliffs of Dover and was recommended to try the jackdaw pub for lunch but hadn't booked but they were full and recommended their sister pub the duke of Cumberland. 7 of us arrived in 5 minutes and we all had a great meal and they sell real ale too. Lovely room all to ourselves too with great service

This is a great location in the North Downs close to Canterbury. The service was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are small but cosy. There are two bedrooms for couples and one family room. The fireplace in the bar/restaurant area was our favourite place. The food is a surprise! It is far above average. There is also a kid's...
