My daughter, Jade and I went for a 2 night trip and stayed in ASH, a shepherd's hut. Our hosts, Christine and Jed and family were very welcoming. The site is beautiful, peaceful and extremely child friendly with lots of activities for them, such as pond dipping, canoeing. There is a cafe/shop on site if you need anything. The showers were hot! We had an outdoor fire pit and bbq with all the necessary equipment. At night the solar lights on the hut looked so pretty. Battery lights were provided inside and there was plenty of crockery for our use. The pizza on pizza night was one of the best I have ever had. Lots to do and see in the local area as well. I highly recommend Nethergong Camping for a wonderful glamping experience!

Went on a recommendation from a friend. We stayed for 2 nights & wish we could've stayed longer! What a great little gem of a place only half an hour drive from me! The staff/owners where really friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The on site shop was really affordable and the surrounding area is full of wildlife so I was in my element 😁 🏕 📸 the boating lake was lovely and we hired a firepit & bought logs which where delivered to us from a really friendly guy on his little trailer ☺ the shower blocks where good and plenty of space for washing up. There was also a fridge/freezer to keep your stuff cold plus to my daughters amazement an are to charge gadgets 😁 Dog friendly as well ☺ I cannot fault this place so 5 stars and I don't always give 5 but we loved this place and will be back! 🏕 🔥 📸 🐦 🦉 🐮 🐶

This is the most well thought out glamping experience and is run by the friendliest family Ever! The shepherds hut we stayed in was comfortable, beautiful and fully equipped for my family of 4. We even had room for a travel cot. The site is so beautifully kept and contained so my children could wander and enjoy freely. The park area is right next to the shop/reception and the pizza oven as well. We had the good fortune to be there on the first cocktail night and these were well priced and VERY good. It all seems too good to be true really but it’s not. Would highly recommend this glamping experience.

This is our third time camping at Nethergong travelling all the way from Manchester, this camp site is amazing very secure and facilities are of a great standard and constantly cleaned. Kids have an amazing and would definitely stay for longer than 3 nights. The trip from Manchester is definitely worth it and will be again!

Brilliant time at nethergong again the children caught lots of fish. Lovely walks around the beautiful site and woods, we stayed in a bell tent and this was very clean with new equipment. We saw constant cleaning of the shower and toilet block and hand-wash sinks and sanitizer dotted about. Jed, Christine and family amazing and friendly hosts as always, we love this place and is our favourite little holiday every year a bonus this year was seeing the beautiful swans walking around with their 2 little ones and being given fresh eggs for brekkie from their chickens,. You couldn't ask for a friendlier campsite.

This was our 2nd stay at this campsite having stayed here previously in 2018. We have just completed a 3 nights stay which reasonable priced at £97.50 for the 5 of us and the dog. We had a great sized pitch in the chicken run area and would recommend as close enough to the toilet/shower block and fishing pond.
We love this campsite. It has been well thought out and is well run by the enthusiastic and friendly owners. The glamping side has grown in size since we were last here and they are nicely mixed in amongst campers.
We really enjoyed the pizza on Friday night, which was prebooked and a reasonable price. We also prebooked bakery goods for the Saturday morning which is a good another well thought through idea.
Toilets and showers were nice and clean with lots of social distance measures around the campsite. It was also no bother to refreeze the ice blocks in the cafe.
It’s close to home and we came away feeling that we had a really relaxing time in the space of the campsite - we are going to try and make it our regular getaway next year (but don’t want to rave about it too much or we won’t get booked in!)

Unfortunately we were upset by our camping here, we were a group but was put furthest from the fishing lake, even though we had all the gear & 3fishermen with us! We were in a field next to THE busiest & loudest road & yet were constantly, to the point of feeling harassed told to turn our non existent music down. The road marking lorries were FAR louder. Depending on which one of us went to the shop meant they either had ice or not?? Showers were NOT clean & staff were not genuine, they were aloof & quite rude infact. We played family quiz with the 8 children in our party & were told we were too loud??? Will NOT be returning, did not feel welcome or accommodated. We were late for boat booking & there was no compromise about giving us even 5mins reason being the boats were fully booked, yet there were no people there let alone queuing to get on any of the boats. If you’re family are fun & wanting to have a good time I suggest to look elsewhere.

Response from Hannah Jenkins, Owner at Nethergong Camping
Responded 8 Nov 2022
Hi, we’re sorry to hear that your experience with us wasn’t enjoyable. Please see the response to the Google review you left us. We are sorry that you felt harassed to quiet down at night, we have a no amplified music policy and also will act upon any complaints we receive from other campers. We had received complaints over the course of your stay and every time we had to approach you at night, we were acting upon complaints. We do our very best to take care of our staff and will not tolerate them being sworn at or intimidated. No one deserves to be treated this way when doing their job. Unfortunately this happened on two separate occasions when your group was approached in the evening and asked to quiet down. We have an option when booking to select to be placed near the fishing lake, your lead booker had not selected this option, but had asked to be placed in woods, this is why you were placed in a wooded area that had enough room to fit your tents in. Again, we are sorry that we are not the right campsite for you, but we do feel as if we needed to add the extra detail that you had missed out in regards to your stay with us.

Beautiful, relaxed campsite where the children just ran free and played constantly with other children.
Pizzas excellent on our Friday arrival, made that first night easy to feed the kids and meant we could open a beer on arrival and relax. Ask Lewis, one of the owners to do his special pizza dance whilst he's in front of the the pizza oven!

Great family weekend. Our boys (aged 3 & 5) loved exploring the woods, rowing in the lake and catching Newts in the pond. The Friday night pizzas made life that much easier after pitching up and settling in. We will definitely be back next year.

We came back to our favourite campsite for 4 nights during the May half term. Camped in the chicken run area. Some noticeable changes from last summer with some trees missing.
We didn’t venture too far from the campsite our whole stay except to go to Tankerton for fish and chips on the last night.
The pizzas didn’t disappoint on our 2nd night and we hired a rowing boat for 30 mins which the twins loved trying to do.
Sadly our next trip was cancelled due to bad weather (but who wants to camp in the rain anyway or deal with packing a wet soggy tent away!)
We’ll be back next year for sure

Hi Sarah, no we don’t have hook up. We do provide fridges and freezers for campers to use and we have electric points outside the cafe and in washing up areas
There are more places to choose from in the Upstreet area.
