Lovingly restored converted wagon so comfy and clean with own bathroom adjacent in another restored shepherds hut.it was just me and my doggy.. although their was a few groups wild camping in the nearby woods..I felt safe despite being there solo as the owners matt and his son were very welcoming and helpful. Plenty of great walks...local shop and a pub about 10 mins walk away .firepit was ideal and for cooking.. although there are facilities in the wagon for cooking aswell and Plenty of logs dropped off to me by matt son and his younger daughter was chatty and telling/showing me some of the wildlife...especially the frogs in full chorus 🥰perfect break for camping..glamping can also hire the bell tents in the woods.

Lovely little tucked away site in a woodland glade, with picnic tables and fire pits for each pitch, newly fitted outdoor and indoor shower, composting and flushing loos and very helpful and friendly host family. If you want more luxury than just your own tent they also have a beautifully converted shepherds hut and old timber clad horse box that is also stunningly converted, with an airstream up next for renovation.
Loads of fun and interesting things to do in the surrounding area too.
Highly recommend.

A lovely quiet woodland campsite Camp fires welcomed. Owners are very friendly and helpful. Made to feel welcome as soon as I arrived. Surrounded by countryside and walks. Very peaceful, great price

Lovely place, but the female owner was unnecessarily rude to us with a bad attitude from the very start, we were all unsure what her problem was. I think she needs either some customer service lessons or to get out of bed the correct side. She was also heard making derogatory comments about my daughter and her friends the following morning. Very unprofessional. The owner Matt was pleasant and helpful though. This was our second visit here, but unfortunately we will not be returning. It's such a shame because it is a beautiful setting with decent facilities. But I cannot abide rudeness like that, especially when it's completely uncalled for.

Wow what an amazing place The site has a variety of places to stay from camping in the beautiful woodlands to a lodge which is what we stayed in The lodge is equipped with everything you need (and more) loved all the little extras The bed was so comfortable too The lodge has a decking area outside, lovely sitting out there on a summer's evening. We also cooked up a beautiful paella one evening outside The site has a friendly relaxed feel The perfect place to relax I would highly recommend staying here

My friend and I stayed for two nights at the Puddlodock camping ground, which seemed more secluded and private than surrounding campgrounds. The place is quiet, rustic, and overall very beautiful as you pitch your tent up within a forest. The owners were incredibly helpful, providing us with firewood (you can just pick it up on the ground) and helping us with our bags, etc. to and from our car. The bathroom is about a minute walk from the campground, but they're in the process of building a closer one. We didn't find this an issue at all, in fact the somewhat remoteness adds to the experience. There are no charging stations, but you can leave them with the owners or charge in your car - which is what we did. There are some beautiful little towns near by and great walks too! We had such a lovely time at Puddledock and would recommend it as a great escape from the city!
