This was our 1st time on a break away like this and it was amazing from booking to handing the boat back over at the end. Ferry Marina are an amazing company with fab boats. I/we were a bit worried about the getting on and off the boat for myself as I’d recently had both hips replaced (1in the last 2months). This was talked through and the boat we had was perfect. We had Leah on the phone when we first booked explaining as much as possible and soo helpful. Then Keith on our test run and explaining the workings of the boat etc - they both made you feel very at ease and confident. And finally George to our rescue to park at the end of a five day trip to explain - there wasn’t anywhere to moor up and George was just leaving to go home (dressed in his leathers) luckily we caught him and he jumped on board and reversed with skill and ease to moor us in the back of the boat yard. So the rest ? What can we say?! The boat (we had Silent Emblem) was comfy, plenty of room with absolutely no problems and a pleasure to drive. It was easy to manage even for newbies like us. Ferry Marina have a great little route to help you get the most out of your trip. The broads are a beautiful place to feel like you’ve escaped the humdrum of normal hectic life. Would we go again? Absolutely. Would we use Ferry Marina? Absolutely, even though there are a few ‘big names’ that own boats we couldn’t fault the personal and professional service you have with these guys. My husband and I have just returned from a week’s holiday, it was for our 25th wedding Anniversary, we hired the “Platinum emblem 1” We would highly recommend this company, their service is second to none! We were very well looked after by ALL the staff…..especially George! We found that George went above and beyond, all staff are very helpful when mooring in, the boat was fantastic and very clean 👍, everything was explained clearly, you can fill up with water and get a pump out free of charge…..you ONLY get charged for a pump out if you are coming from another boat company! This is the same across the board. We have used other companies in the past and we weren’t as impressed, so if you’re looking for a clean and well looked after boat I would definitely recommend Ferry Marina “ Horning!…

My partner and I have just returned home from a 4 night stay on the Garnet Emblem boat. It was our first time in the Norfolk Broads. We booked through Ferry Marina which is based in Horning. Staff were very helpful and provided a lot of information/ safety before we set off. The boat was perfect for us. We have had an amazing time and would definitely recommend trying this experience for yourself. We are looking to book again next year.

Don't get your boat pumped out there. £25 and they didn't flush it. 8 hours later, blocked up and had to go back to our PROPER boat yard. To have a proper pump out the guy needs to enter the boat, we didn't know that, we do now 😭

Had a great week on Sapphire Emblem managed to get down to Oulton Broad and Beccles the southern broads are much quieter. We didn’t have to worry about the fuel as it is all inclusive. The boat was great although we did have a small problem with the engine but that was quickly rectified and the staff are so friendly and helpful. I would recommend this as a great place to start your holiday.

Had a fabulous short break cruising the Broads. First time boaters but soon got used to handling the boat. Incredible scenery lots of wild life and great pubs when moored up. As complete novices we were quite nervous about handling the boat and selecting a route no need to worry as Keith who gave us the boat tour and initial tuition was fantastic. He was very pleasant helpful and professional. Gave us a fab route to take which took in great scenery and places to moor up eat drink and stock up with provisions. Can t wait to go again and would highly recommend a boating holiday even for beginners. The team, especially Keith were lovely and could not do enough for you.

We hired a day boat for my husband’s birthday. We booked the one that’s for up to 12 people. Inside it didn’t look much like the photos on the website. It was dirty, cobwebs everywhere. Food crumbs on the seats and tables. No soap or towels in the toilet. The whole thing needed a good clean! Despite that, we did enjoy our afternoon on the river. Wouldn’t use them again as we’ve hired nicer boats in the past, for less money. £260 for the day. You’d think they’d at least clean the boat inside!

Ferry Marina is without doubt the best boat hire company on the Norfolk Broads. The standard of their boats are absolutely first class, the cleanliness and attention to detail is something other companies don't even come close to. We have just completed our 11th boating holiday on the Broads and have used nearly every hire company on the Broads but will be staying with Ferry Marina. During the holiday, our boat did suffer an unexpected mechanical issue. We called the office and Dave, the chief engineer, came straight out to us and resolved the situation quickly and efficiently allowing us to continue with our holiday. Dave was not only a very talented young man but also very polite and caring. Our thanks go to Ian for a very informative and thorough handover. A special thank you to Carl for his help with everything, we look forward to seeing you again next year. Another fabulous boating holiday from Ferry Marina in Horning. Super friendly staff, quick and easy check-in, boat briefing from the wonderful Dave and another wonderfully clean boat. As we had already been a couple of times before, on the same type of boat, Dave was able to edit the boat handover so that we could be underway as soon as possible. The boat ran flawlessly and we were able to explore the far reaches of the Broads. Fantastic!
