Stopped here for two nights 5th/6th November based on previous reviews. Lovely views from the dinining area and the breakfast's are very good - £138.00 for two nights very competative for the area.Bar and restaurant area refurbished in 2017 and upstairs rooms which are very clean, warm & comfortable are planned for refurb (needed)in the near future. Overall well worth the money - decent food and a good selection of real ales - better than most of what is offered in nearby Settle which is only a ten minute walk away.Good sleep over if you are doing the three peaks.

Popped in for a drink and something to eat late Saturday lunchtime. The pub was fairly quiet, but was getting busier as we were leaving for the tv rugby.

Choice of dedicated large dining room or smallish bar. We picked the bar and were very comfy. Lovely, friendly service and nice, but fairly simple food. Both drinks (especially wine by the glass - ranging from £5 odd to £11 odd) and food on the expensive side. The steak and ale pie was the highlight, but all meals very nice.
Thank Stephen B

Good plate of food but the meat was a little thick, so harder to manage. Thanks all the same. All the pubs we visited were friendly and served us well. They seemed to be as dog friendly as they were people friendly!

On arrival the staff were very accommadating. My room was clean but basic but with lovely views over the village. There was secure parking for my bicycle which is a must. Evening meal in the restaurant was very good with plenty of choice. Plenty of choice art breakfast. Enough to set any cyclist up to face the big hills ahead. Costs wise quite reasonable and would recommend for any cyclist doing this route.
