Stayed in one of the Woodman lodges with friends. It's the second time we've stayed. Love it here - it's so peaceful. Will definitely be returning next year! There is a shop on site with DVD rental. There's information on local attractions etc too. Even though it's a lovely peaceful place, it's so easy to get to and the road...

Just got back from a lovely stay at Griffon Forest this weekend. The lodge itself was well equipped and very clean. The hot tub was fantastic and you get bath robes which come in very handy. The hot tubs and decking areas in the poachers premier are very private. Really couldn't fault the stay. There is a shop on site...

This was the fourth stay at Griffon Forest and we've already said we'll be going back in the Summer of 2017. It's so beautiful and in parts enchanting - especially when you're in the hot tub at night, looking out into the stars. We were privileged to see badgers 2 nights in a row. The badgers came up onto the...

Just back from a lovely 3 night break, we stayed in Gardeners Lodge 27. Everything was great, only slight complaint was the bed wasn't the comfiest but each to their own. We had badgers every night on the decking which was fab to sit in the hot tub and watch. This was our second visit and we will be back...

We stayed here for 4 nights for a special birthday. The forest itself is lovely and tranquil with good walks and bike hire. There is also an on site shop where you can stock up on groceries and borrow from the huge DVD collection, which we made full use of. The staff were very attentive and just as we arrived...

Lovely peaceful break away. I think overpriced for the 3 nights, nearly £500! Bed uncomfortable, mattress needs renewing, shower just a trickle, and curtains and cushions in need of a wash. I know the lodge is in the middle of a small wood but for the cost of the break these should not be an issue. Saying all this we...

Stayed for 4 nights; mid November 2016 in the Keepers lodge which sleeps 4. Great facilities; a home-from-home atmosphere. It was amazingly relaxing in peaceful surroundings. The hot tub helped! Great location, close to Scarborough, Castle Howard, Whitby & the York designer Outlet as well as lots of quaint villages; Helmsley was the nicest. There are lots of long/short dog...

I wish you could give more for the rating. Beautifully finished lodge in the middle of a wood. We stayed in the gardeners lodge, Monday to Friday and enjoyed every second of it, from the four poster bed to the giant bath, to the hot tub and cosy at,sop here, every thing was ten out of ten. There was plenty...

We stayed at a gardeners premier lodge number 23, and it was brilliant we got very lucky with are lodge because it was tucked out the way and no one could see into the garden where the hot tub was, were if your like me I don't want people seeing me in the hot tub. There's a little shop in...
