My son and I had a happy and relaxing 4 night stay at Fingle Bridge. Liz is a really lovely host and made us both feel very comfortable and welcome in her home. She had gone out of her way to accommodate our vegan diet for breakfast and on returning back the first evening we were greeted by the smell of freshly baked bread for the morning, which we enjoyed with her selection of lovely home made jams. She also offered my son home grown tomatoes from her green house. Liz chatted with us about our plans each day over breakfast, offering local advice, and was lovely with my son, making him feel very at "home". We loved overlooking the lovey garden with a little steam running through it and spotting squirrels and birds!. We slept really well in the en-suite family room which was clean, spacious and peaceful with 2 comfy chairs and a large table and chairs in addition to the microwave, fridge, fan, TV, kettle, tea and coffee, cutlery and crockery listed. You could easily prepare and eat simple meals in the room in order to avoid eating out each evening, but there are also two pubs in the village as well as a Spar shop for supplies a short walk away. The nearest pub doesn't serve food everyday however the Ship Inn has a full daily menu and all the staff were lovely and friendly on our visit. I would advise booking a table ahead though. We did not and were lucky to get the last table available! Fingle Bridge is less than 10 mins walk from Wool train station and there are a number of buses running from the station to visit local attractions such as Monkey world and the Tank Museum and the beaches of Durdle Door and Lulworth. (These are less frequent in the off season obviously.) Trains also run hourly to Weymouth, Dorchester, Poole etc. Thankyou Liz for a relaxing and happy stay! We hope to visit again!

We booked well in advance after booking a trip to Monkey World. No deposit was required, which made me a little nervous, however I confirmed our booking a couple of weeks before we were due to go and paid in full by bank transfer a few days before out visit so all was fine. Coming from the North East we were a little delayed with traffic but it was not a problem for Liz, she was the perfect host! We had a key to our room and a key to the front door so had the privacy and flexibility to come and go as we pleased. All the information we needed about Fingle Bridge was in a folder in the room, on the landing there were large comfy arm chairs with lots of books and information leaflets of things to do in the area. We stayed in the en suite family room (king bed & 2 singles) and it exceeded our expectations there was so much more in the room than we expected or is listed on the website (table & chairs, crockery, cutlery, toiletries as well as the listed items such as TV, microwave, kettle and fridge) it was like a little self catering apartment, perfect if you are having a longer stay and don't want to eat out every night. The king bed was really comfortable (we didn't use the singles) and we had 2 perfect nights sleep after a long journey then a full day in Monkey World. Breakfast wasn't huge but was delicious and more than enough for us: Choice of cereals, toast and jams/marmalade (home made by Liz and are so delicious I bought some to bring home) then a cooked breakfast (1 each of bacon, sausage, egg, grilled tomato & a few mushrooms - YUM). We had the pleasure of having breakfast with a lovely Danish lady who was booked in for the week and Liz also joined us for a chat. Lovely, comfortable, relaxed and friendly . . . . . what more do you need from a B&B? NOTHING!! We hope to visit again, thanks Liz x

We stayed at Fingle Bridge B&B for a couple of nights to visit The Tank Museum. The location is perfect for this as it is just a short walk from the train station where the shuttle bus picks you up.
The room was lovely and clean, with everything you need and you could tell that Liz (the host) had put in extra effort to add lovely little touches like fresh milk and cold water in the fridge, and some nice toiletries in the bathroom.
Above all, Liz made the stay really comfortable. She was a great host and we really enjoyed chatting to her. She made a great breakfast and was very accommodating.
We would highly recommend staying at Fingle Bridge B&B and will hopefully be back!

This is first time for us to stay in an B and B in UK. This splendid house and delicious breakfast make us feel so comfortable and just feel like live in our home in China. Mrs Baker is a friendly and skillful lady, she can always cooks delicious breakfast for us and does the housekeeping for our room even everyday. I must said that this is a wonderful experience and if you want to visit the coastline or the Tank Museum, this house is your best choice for stay a night. The only thing that make me disappointed is that I can't express how perfect this house and its owner is due to my poor English

Liz is a fantastic host, very welcoming and helpful. Me and my son especially appreciated the beautiful garden, the clean room and the quiet surroundings. If you plan to visit the Tank Museum or Monkey World I can really recommend staying 2-3 nights at Fingle Bridge.

This traditional B&B situated in the historical part of the village and right next to the stream was exactly what I wanted. My room was spacious with ensuite bathroom and pleasant views from windows in three different directions. Liz has been a very polite and friendly host, her full English breakfast was excellent. I used to live in Wool about 15 years ago and came to re-visit the area. I certainly will stay here again!

We were made very welcome. This house is over and above what you would expect, with a fridge with fresh milk, a microwave and a double aspect room with delightful views. Home made bread, jams and marmalade and the fullest english breakfast. Situated only a couple of miles from Monkey World and The Tank museum the village has a lovely pub which has a superior menu. Highly recommended. Hope to return.

We arrived at Fingle Bridge to be greeted by the lovely Liz, who showed us to our room. A spacious, clean and comfortable space, we knew we had struck gold! After a very good sleep, we sat down to a great breakfast, cereal, home baked bread, home made jams, and a lovely cooked full English. Our first visit to this B+B, but not our last! Highly recommended

We just came back from a staycation in Dorset and we had the pleasure to experience Fingle Bridge B&B. The village is beautiful and so is the Bed and Breakfast. We had a very spacious family room and the gardens are so lovely with a little creek and lots of flowers. Liz made amazing breakfasts and the homemade jams are worth a mention. Our fussy eater 12 year old daughter had the option to chose Full English or Continental breakfast and she is still talking about how good it was. The customer service was amazing with a lot of personal touches that made our stay extra special. Would definately go back and highly recommend as the location is also prime for Weymouth, Poole, Durdle Door and Monkey World is on the doorstep.

Hello
I'm afraid I am fully booked for B&B for those dates.
I do have a self catering annexe with a double bedroom and a sofa bed in the lounge.. there is a fully equiped kitchen and a full bathroom with shower over bath. this is available for £100/night. It is approx 2 miles to the tank museum on a safe walk. Please contact me if you are interested. Regards Liz Baker
Hello
We are approximately 0.5 miles from the railway station and 2miles from the tank museum. there are taxis at the station to meet trains and can be booked to the tank museum. There may be a bus service to the museum but they change the schedules in the Spring and Autumn so I don't know for sure.
Hope this is helpful.
Regards
Liz Baker
