It was as advertised. The room and bedding was clean. The breakfast was really good and Liz is accomodating when an earlier time was requested. Liz was very friendly and helpful making our stay even more enjoyable. It is located close to pubs and shops and the event we attended. Thank you Liz

We booked well in advance after booking a trip to Monkey World. No deposit was required, which made me a little nervous, however I confirmed our booking a couple of weeks before we were due to go and paid in full by bank transfer a few days before out visit so all was fine. Coming from the North East we were a little delayed with traffic but it was not a problem for Liz, she was the perfect host! We had a key to our room and a key to the front door so had the privacy and flexibility to come and go as we pleased. All the information we needed about Fingle Bridge was in a folder in the room, on the landing there were large comfy arm chairs with lots of books and information leaflets of things to do in the area. We stayed in the en suite family room (king bed & 2 singles) and it exceeded our expectations there was so much more in the room than we expected or is listed on the website (table & chairs, crockery, cutlery, toiletries as well as the listed items such as TV, microwave, kettle and fridge) it was like a little self catering apartment, perfect if you are having a longer stay and don't want to eat out every night. The king bed was really comfortable (we didn't use the singles) and we had 2 perfect nights sleep after a long journey then a full day in Monkey World. Breakfast wasn't huge but was delicious and more than enough for us: Choice of cereals, toast and jams/marmalade (home made by Liz and are so delicious I bought some to bring home) then a cooked breakfast (1 each of bacon, sausage, egg, grilled tomato & a few mushrooms - YUM). We had the pleasure of having breakfast with a lovely Danish lady who was booked in for the week and Liz also joined us for a chat. Lovely, comfortable, relaxed and friendly . . . . . what more do you need from a B&B? NOTHING!! We hope to visit again, thanks Liz x

Liz is a fantastic host, very welcoming and helpful. Me and my son especially appreciated the beautiful garden, the clean room and the quiet surroundings. If you plan to visit the Tank Museum or Monkey World I can really recommend staying 2-3 nights at Fingle Bridge.

My two adult sons and I recently spent four nights at the wonderful Fingle Bridge B & B. It was perfectly located in Wool for our three day visit to the Tank Fest at the Tank Museum in Bovington. Liz was a super hostess, starting with her email help months before, answering my numerous questions about the B & B, and Wool. Her place is nicely equipped and charming, with a beautiful garden. We had great breakfasts each day, and she was very accommodating about our need for an early start to get to Tank Fest. Her homemade jams were so good I bought a jar to bring back to the USA for my wife. Some mornings Liz joined us as we had our coffee, and shared local history with us, which I found very interesting. My sons and I would highly recommend a stay here. Thank you, Liz. Joe Boscia

We were made very welcome. This house is over and above what you would expect, with a fridge with fresh milk, a microwave and a double aspect room with delightful views. Home made bread, jams and marmalade and the fullest english breakfast. Situated only a couple of miles from Monkey World and The Tank museum the village has a lovely pub which has a superior menu. Highly recommended. Hope to return.

Had a wonderful stay at Fingle Bridge for a week-long visit to Wool. Liz was an excellent host, a fount of local knowledge, friendly and delivered a lovely cooked breakfast, including homemade preserves, every day. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again when we next visit Monkey World (main reason for the trip to Wool).
