We just got back from a 2-day, one night stay at the lodge. My husband and I are traveling with our three young kids ages 7, 9 & 11. The lodge was extremely family friendly and welcoming. The staff was very nice and accommodating ( especially with our vegetarian diet). Our guide, Loi, was excellent as well. He lead us...

Mai Chau lodge is a great find and inexpensive. If you are not a backpacker looking for a homestay, but a comfortable hotel this is the place for you. Beds were comfortable, place was clean, a bit out dated but as to be expected in the area. Restaurant was good, fairly expansive menu, and the staff was very friendly. Location...

Just walked in here. Price was a bit high for our budget but we agreed on a price of 60 USD. Nice room, good quality bed, watercooker with complementary coffee tea water chocolate for the night, many nice decorative details. Sauna included, not the newest but good, cold but nice swimming pool. Free tour in the caves opposite of the...

It was heaven to arrive in this lovely valley surrounded with mountains and people working their fields. We were welcomed by the lovely staff. Rooms were very clean and beautifully appointed with local arts and crafts. In the evening we had dinner at the restaurant overlooking the large water lily lake which was illuminated beautifully. There was a good choice...

After visiting Mai Chau I'm not sure why one would travel twice as far to get to Sapa. Mai Chau is quiet, beautiful and I wasn't hounded to purchase anything as Sapa is notorious for. Mai Chau Lodge was very comfortable for our stay and food in their restaurant was quite good. The location allowed us to walk and bike...

We were booked into this hotel through Buffalo Tours. We stayed 2 nights and found it to be one of the two best accommodations we stayed in during the 3 weeks we visited Vietnam. It was delightful. Staff were super friendly and the food was quite good. While we were there, the hotel was quiet as there were few guests....

It's a stunning drive down into the valley where the town of Mai Chau sits and it's surrounding villages. Had a wonderful two days at Mai Chau lodge, extremely welcoming staff could not do enough for us. Food in the restaurant, overlooking the large water lily lake which you could kayak on, was beautiful and after dinner we were given...

Dear Bronwyn W, First of all, thank you for taking the time to share with us your fantastic experience at Mai Chau Lodge. Beautiful hotel and the staff are all brilliant. Weekends can be noisy as families tend to go and children run around on timber floors in foyer which echos throughout entry level rooms. We were upgraded on 2nd night to suite on 2nd level which was much quieter. Families left on Sunday and midweek was beauitifully quiet. Both rooms were very...

Leave the noise and traffic of Hanoi behind you and drive to the scenic area of Mai Chau in about 4 hours.
