Best hotel by far during our visit to North Vietnam. Stunning views from our room (which was also fantastic). Really nice pool area and everyone was really friendly. Good food and also entertainment in the evening (Vietnamese dancers).

We stayed one day/night as part of a tour holiday in Vietnam. It was one of the best days of the holiday. Set in a beautiful valley with spectacular views. I wish we had had a couple more nights here. The view from our little villa balcony was so restful and amazing. I watched a group of people from the local village replant the rice paddy fields right under our room. It was so interesting. The restaurant was lovely and we enjoyed all the set meals we had for our lunches and dinner and breakfast was good too. All the staff were friendly and helpful. I had a lovely foot massage in the spa area which was cool and peaceful. The pool was nice to, a beautiful temperature to swim in. We did a half day cycle tour of the local area with a guide which I would highly recommend. Seeing the real Vietnam was a big part of our trip and we were welcomed everywhere we went. Visiting a family in their home and taking tea with them was wonderful, so interesting. Would definitely like to return if the opportunity came up to do so. I loved our time at Mai Chau Ecolodge. I am staying at this lodge right now and checking out soon. The restaurant manager has horrible attitude towards customers and other staff are ok. The place itself is not worth the price and not close to 5 star standard like they advertise. It’s 3 star at best.

Dear Mr. Tony, Thank you for choosing our hotel and for taking the time to write a review ! My Guest service team has advised me of the service you received during your stay with us; first and foremost I want to sincerely apologize for this if you met some unexpected exprerience at Mai Chau Ecolodge. Your review and mark on some Review channels made us a seriously recheck the related departments such as: reception, housekeeping, food and drink, security. As I know that in the evering of your stay, your group enjoyed the Traditional show for a while then came to the restaurant around 9h30 PM, our FB staff welcomed you, showed you the table, and another staff came to your table No.5 to take order. Everything happened in a pleasant atmosphere. I checked the camera and found that my staff did not say or do anything to make the trouble and especially my restaurant manager was absent in that evening. So how could she have horrible attitude towards to custome as you mentioned on the review? Our staff all wore name tag and positon on the uniform, that mean you told our restaurant manager was not clear. And my receptionist reported that you checked out quite soon, around 8hAM but your group looked good mood. I have tried to contact you to ask for your feedback in detail but hopeless. I was upset to read your review. In Mai Châu Ecolodge, we always strive to provide the best service to our guests and I am sorry if our serice did not meet your expectation and this matter brings to our management attention seriously as we did some actions to the concerned staff and also taken steps to avoid such issues in future. What a beautiful place to be! We had wonderful views over the rice fields and mountains from our balcony and also from our private plunge pool. The staff were really lovely, so polite and helpful. The food was really good too. I would definitely recommend this place

Amazing Hotel over looking the rice paddy fields of Mai Chau, the rooms are lovely with all facilities you need for a relaxing stay, the beds were very comfortable and the bathroom had a large bath. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast had enough choices for all. The hotel also has bicycles you can use to cycle around the town and rice fields which was great, make sure you check your bike though before setting off as some need a bit of maintenance. The pool was lovely after a day of sightseeing and our balcony was facing west, so had the most amazing sunsets. Would highly recommend this hotel, exceptional service, thank you

We stopped over here for one night on our road journey north. The lodge has excellent chic interior design with comfortable beds and a superb setting, The breakfast was outstanding but unfortunately the evening meal was at best average. We were entertained by a good local dancing group after dinner which was very enjoyable.

If you want an authentic, Vietnamese village experience with the comfort of lovely, spacious bungalow accommodation then Mai Chau Ecolodge is the place to be. It was our favourite accommodation during our 25 day trip to Vietnam – so relaxing, quiet and peaceful with stunning rice paddy views. The bed was particularly comfortable and we enjoyed the wooden bath (and private pool). The onsite restaurant isn’t cheap but the quality of the food is good and plenty of variety. There is a traditional Thai dance performance for guests every evening which is nice. Staff were welcoming and friendly and you can book tours directly through them – again, not cheap, but we thoroughly enjoyed our private half-day English-speaking guided tour to Go Lao Waterfall and boat cruise across pretty Hoa Binh Lake to visit the fishing farms. The free bicycle hire is a bonus with easy & safe cycling paths to traditional villages (you can't really get lost). We would highly recommend Mai Chau Ecolodge to our family, friends and work colleagues visiting Mai Chau. …

Stayed two nights. Upgraded to pool suite with own pool. Rooms look out over lovely green rice fields and surrounding mountains. Lovely pool main pool area come bar area. There is some walking down stone steps/ pathways which would be an issue if you have mobility issues. They do deliver & collect luggage however. Bit of an uphill walk from drop off area, about 100m. Reception responded quickly to a couple of minor issue encounted. Regular local cultural show in evenings is lovely. Rooms are lovely all with balcony area to take in views. Some minor maintenance required, in our room at least. Restaurant very nice, but not cheap by local standards. They have bikes you can use, as it's a bit of a walk into the town area, maybe a kilometre, not sure.
