Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A friend recommended this to us, as we were looking for a short getaway that wasn't too far away but that would offer a novel and pleasant way to escape the world for a while, to celebrate a birthday. The Willow cabin (aka pod) did not disappoint. We only stayed for one night but felt like we had been away much longer. We arrived just as the sun was setting. Beautiful setting. The pod location is perfect for watching the sun and the moon pass by - not to mention the epic star show that we observed from our outdoor bath tub later in the evening. The pod was warm, clean, well equipped and very welcoming, offering a snug and cosy escape as the temperatures started to drop. The underfloor heating enhanced the stay. The outdoor bath and fire pit (extra £25 but worth it for the jumbo marshmallows!) experience was a real highlight. We built the fire then stepped outside in our robes to fill the bath (bring some nice bubble bath) and then we then bathed looking up at the stars whilst the fire pit roared and glowed alongside us. Talk about earth, fire, air and water. Quite magical to look up to the heavens and see the thousands of stars and galaxies in the beautifully clear 'dark sky' area. Despite hanging our dressing gowns on the fence as we bathed, which then absorbed some smoke from the fire, it all felt very grounding and really added a unique experience to the overall stay. We will definitely be coming back to this wonderful place again. Highly recommended. Thanks to Mark and Debbie, who we never needed to bother because all was just perfect.

Beautiful place. We stayed in the Cedar pod and it was amazing. So beautifully decorated, very clean, cosy and warm. The welcome pack was such a lovely touch and my children loved their activity pack. Gorgeous views, so peaceful and I loved the outdoor bath, even in November it was so warm and relaxing. I can't wait to go back!!

We visit here recently and had a fabulous time, the position of the glamping pod was perfectly placed over the northumberland hills. We had a very comfortable stay, the outdoor bath was amazing and the beds were super warm. We used the bbq hut for out even meal and it made it super specail. Everything was well thought out. I loved the little welcome pack and so did my son. We will absolutely return. Lovely and easy to book and access

This is our second visit here. Our first visit was to the pods. This time we stayed at the Black Hut. The pictures don't do it justice, it was great. The outdoor bath was amazing after a 10-mile hike! The outdoor log burner was the perfect way to relax and we used it both nights!

If you want the perfect, peaceful, get away break Sycamore glamping pods are your answer. They are so cosy and luxurious it’s impossible not to feel relaxed and pampered. The views are spectacular and nearby the sheep and cows are just going about their everyday business. The outdoor bath is the height of luxury especially if you have bubbles in the bath and ‘bubbles’ in a glass. This was our first visit but I’m already dreaming about the next.

We tend to do a lot of weekends away and never go the same place twice, but we’ve stayed in the cedar pod at least 3 times in the last year because both of us and the kids love it so much. It’s a perfect location for exploring Hexham and hadrians wall, and the views of the farmland around the pod are just beautiful day and night. The hosts are so lovely and think of everything - the welcome basket is a lovely touch, as well as the farm tour. It’s such a perfect, secluded location, even with the pods side by side. And the pod itself is cleaned to such a high standard, we’ve been so impressed both times. During our stays we’ve seen birds, deer, bats and of course all the farm animals. The sky at night has been beautiful every time too. Would highly recommend for a glamping experience with all the essentials as well as some luxuries!

We have just spent a wonderful long weekend making happy family memories. Debbie and Mark go that extra mile to make sure your stay is unforgettable. The pods and the Black Hut are exceptional and have everything you need. Apart from the outdoor baths and BBQ Hut which our Grandchildren loved, awakening to the cows in the field right outside our pods was fantastic and the boys loved it - We are looking forward to our next visits. Thank you for such a warm welcome.

We are so pleased that your whole family enjoyed the weekend with us and that magical memories were made. The three cabins together are ideal for that holiday with different age groups, everyone with their own space but the outdoor space and bbq hut as a central point together. We can’t wait to welcome you back soon.
