Pulled up outside the pub and was about to go in for something to eat when the other half noticed a woman with pieces of paper. She put one on the one other car in the car park. She then knocked on my window and said you can't park here unless you are going in the pub. This car park... More

Stayed here for 2 nights in April when had family visiting from abroad. I didn't fancy sleeping on my couch so decided to come to The Stork as it's close to where I live. It's an old building, I used to drink here when much younger so I know it's not a luxury establishment. Room was ok, nothing fancy. Tea... More

Friendly, quick service and really great pub roast dinner. All piping hot and lots of it. Reasonably priced too. Yes, the building is old and dark but - it's an old building! I was really impressed and would go again. The orange trifle was scrummy. I feel like I won't need to eat again for days!

I booked this hotel for 3 nights two rooms a twin and single. On arrival the bar area was dark and rustic, we were led upstairs to the rooms. The landing was littered with children's clothes although it appeared at first to be clean it was very dated and the property is in need of more than just a coat... More

Interesting local historic building, lots of space for car parking, friendly owners, cosy atmosphere, child friendly could do with high chairs though, all home cooked food which is very tasty! I even asked could I take a desert home and they said yes which I was very pleased with, reasonably priced!

Called in for lunch whilst walking in the area. The lunch menu was good pub grub & very good value for money. The food was very well presented, the home made chips particularly good. The landlord & landlady were very friendly & couldn't do enough to make our visit enjoyable. The beer was excellent. We will definately be returning to... More

Good value comfortable place. A refreshing change from the corporate chains. Very good shower, very good breakfast. Friendly staff. Child friendly and a proper old school pub. We stayed in family room with two singles and one double in it. There was plenty of room to add a cot if needed. Got very warm very quickly with the radiators on.... More
