Unique cabins in a beautiful location. You really feel like you are spending the night in a jungle with sounds from nature. Rooms are clean and instead of air conditioning there are several fans to keep it cool. Showering is possible in the semi-outdoor bathroom. The staff is very friendly and helpful. In addition, you can have breakfast & dinner at reasonable prices in the resort restaurant.

We loved our trip with Our Jungle Camp! After learning about the company through a woman’s TikTok and seeing the beautiful experience we were set on going with this company. Whilst their website can be difficult to navigate over email the company are amazing and give you lots of information. We did the Cheow Lan lake overnight tour which was beautiful and the activities, meals and staff including our guide were amazing. Well worth the extra price in comparison to some companies. Our raft house was lovely and clean and we could swim in the lake from our terrace. There was also free kayak rental! Unfortunately the rain was too heavy to do our morning safari and view point trip but we had an amazing time nevertheless. They also arranged a transfer to pick us up from where we finished the tour at lunch, the transfer had pre collected our big bags (which you don’t take on the overnight excursion) which saved us lots of time and enabled us to get to our next destination quickly. Whilst slightly pricey for our backpackers budget the extra money was well worth it, it was the best two nights of our trip!

Our jungle camp is a lovely resort for couples and family. It’s set a little away from the town so is quieter but the main tourist area is easily an easy walk away. We booked a 3 night package,2 nights in a tree house which was superb and a night on the lake. The staff were amazing especially Paul who took us on an evening safari and also taught us how to cook traditionally using bamboo. Overall the itinerary is full on, if you book everything in so suggest if you want a quieter time maybe book things separately. The jungle trek and safari were great . Don’t do the raft and canoe they are too similar. Maybe pick massage or elephant trip instead of one. The lake was beautiful even though we had bad weather. We booked a basic cabin and it is very basic, like camping with a bed but the bed was very hard and we had some type of bug in our hut which meant a bad nights sleep. Saying that I am still glad I did it but maybe book the deluxe version if you like your sleep. Lastly the food was okay but very much felt like it was altered to the western palette which was a shame .

This is a wonderful resort on the edge of Khao Sok village at the entrance to the national park. The resort itself is lovely - nice treehouses, fairly open to the elements but suprisingly few bugs in our room! There are ceiling fans so despite it being quite hot, we felt comfortable. We loved the wildlife around the resort - the birds, monkeys and fish in the river. We did a few tours - the night safari, a guided bird walk, the bamboo raft and the overnight lake trip, all of which were very enjoyable. Everything was very well organised, including the transfers to and from the resort from the places we were staying before and after. We would recommend this to other families as a great way to experience the jungle.

Our bungalow was very comfortable and clean, very conveniently located for the restaurant etc, but also quiet. We did a tour to Cheow Lan lake which was spectacular. The jungle hike was interesting, good duration (45minutes), and not too strenuous. Transfers went smoothly and the safari tours of the lake were very pleasant, although we didn't see much wildlife. The Raft accommodation was clean and comfortable, and we enjoyed swimming in the lake and kayaking. Food at the restaurant was OK. We were surprised to have breakfast at 0830, then lunch at 1030am on the final day, rather too early! (when we had expected a packed lunch)

We spent a week at Our Jungle Camp in Khao Sok and had a wonderful time. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful in organizing what tours we were interested in participating in. We did the overnight lake tour and the overnight jungle camping adventure and thoroughly enjoyed our experience with each. The overnight lake tour was beautiful, and we loved kayaking through the clear waters. The overnight camp experience was filled with adventure, and we had a great time hiking and sleeping out in the hammocks with all the monkeys. We had a wonderful time at Our Jungle Camp- Karen was incredibly helpful in helping us plan our stay there- and we would recommend this resort to anyone visiting Khao Son!

The actual hotel is great, really nicely done in a very understated way, good food and drinks. The location is beautiful although be warned, everything is a good drive away from the lodge and the lake is about 1hr20 mins away. We opted for an overnight trip to the lake and as long as “our jungle camp” continue their relationship with the floating hostel they use, I would strongly advise against doing this. There are multiple other hotels on the lake which look great but the one they sent us to was abominable. It was a totally awful student dive. We were given a room with 2 beds for the price for 5 adults, the room was beyond basic and falling apart. We had shared toilet and showers which had cracked tiles, revolting drains and queues outside them. The whole place was so depressing and you are trapped there so it feels a bit prison like. The lake itself is amazing and a must but unless our jungle camp can guarantee you are not placed at this hostel I would do a day trip instead and not stay the night…..but I would highly recommend the actual hotel which is lovely, such a shame they are patronising the awful lake hotel. I think none of their staff must have been there in years otherwise they would have stopped sending guests there immediately!

Hi, thank you for taking the time to provide us with feedback on the overnight lake trip and our resort. We are so sorry to read your comments regarding the lake trip and we have contacted the lake provider to share your feedback and to ask why you received such a basic room, as well as the overall condtion of the rafthouses. We are currently reviewing all our suppliers and your comments are a valuable insight for us. I know this doesn't change your experience, but we really do care about your experience and it's hearfelt to read that despite this negative incident, you still enjoyed the amazing scenery of the lake and our resort. Thank you again for staying with us and we hope to improve our services to eliminate these happenings in the future.

Our Jungle Camp is a serene oasis tucked back from the little village of Khao Sok, just minutes from the National Park entrance. We were delighted with our treehouse room on the river that had some monkey visitors in the evening jumping around in the trees in front of our balcony- none came too close though, perhaps if we had bananas they would have entertained the idea! The room/bathroom are very rustic, the mosquito net probably necessary and though it is an open air concept, there was plenty of fans in the room to stay comfortable. Service in the restaurant was slow, and rather than our appetizer coming before our entrees, it arrived in between the two mains we ordered. The food was good for the price and it was better than walking the 15/20 minutes into town in the dark. There are several cool bars/restaurants in the village that would have been nice to try. We booked two tours with OJC under the impression that the hotel hosted these events, which was not the case- at least during this season. They simply book and charge and then send you off in a taxi or a tour vehicle depending on the activity booked. We choose the traditional bamboo rafting in late afternoon, which we loved! It was a beautiful trip down a river with a stop at a bat cave for bamboo coffee/tea. Then a little stop to visit some curious monkeys along the river. Then the next day we did the overnight Cheow Lan Lake trip, which was run completely by a different tour group combining our hotel with other hotel groups. I think we probably would have paid less had we not booked with OJC. They also left out the fact that there would be no chance of seeing wild elephants due to the season, which is the only reason we booked it.

Stayed here for 3 nights as part of our 10 year wedding anniversary trip to Thailand.
The location and setting is beautiful and it’s truly a Jungle experience with Monkeys swinging from the trees and the sounds of the Jungle at night, although the Village of Kao Sok, which is full of backpacker hostels and restaurants, is only a 15 minute walk away so it isn’t really that remote!
However both the accommodation and quality of the food served in the restaurant were disappointing.
We booked a double storey tree house which from the website and Instagram posts looked as though it had a wide terrace with open views. In reality we had a river view with trees infront so it was really dark and the monkeys dominated our terrace and we therefore couldn’t use it. As other reviewers have stated, the accommodation is made in the traditional way so it’s exposed to the elements in places - nothing big can get in but insects can and do get in! We also had a major ant problem in our bathroom which wasn’t very pleasant especially as they were climbing up the toilet! As it rained every day the treehouse smelt damp and all our clothes felt damp too. Surprisingly the mosquito nets worked well but in general it was all far too rustic and basic for us, and most importantly nothing like the Instagram posts the Jungle Camp posts where they’ve invited ‘Influencers’ to stay in what is clearly the best treehouse and only one with wide open space infront of it!
The restaurant food was pretty awful and it closed at 8.30pm which didn’t give you much time to relax after a full day out. You were also asked to order breakfast the night before which we found irritating. Staff were friendly but wouldn’t deviate from the closing time for anyone and I didn’t really feel that they would go out of their way for guests. The bar was nice and stayed open later. It’s worth noting that there are no staff are on site after 9pm which we thought was a bit reckless incase there was an emergency.
We went on the full day trip to Cheow San Lake which was amazing and also with a guide for a half day trek to a waterfall in the national park which is just round the corner from the camp. To be honest you don’t really need a guide for the trek as it’s an easy to follow marked path but we enjoyed our guide’s company and it helps to support the local community.
Overall it’s probably the best place to stay in an area full of cheap hostels but just be aware that the accommodation is still basic and you need to feel happy sharing your room with insects!

Dear LondonBezza, Thank you very much for choosing Khao Sok and Our Jungle Camp as your holiday destination, we are sorry to read that our offered close to nature experience fell short of your expectations. Please be assured that we take all our guests feedback seriously and we will discuss with our housekeeping and gardening team on how to improve on the mentioned room short comings. In general our rooms are throughly cleaned on a daily basis, for our river facing accommodations we cut windows to provide the best view possible without destroying the natural undergrowth which protects our riverbank. In regards of yor emergency concerns, please be assured that there is always a security guard at reception at night until 1:00pm, with staff and vehicles on site to act in case of emergencies 24/7. We hope to have another chance to welcome you here with us in Khao Sok for a future stay to showcase the accomplished changes and wissh you safe onwards travels and an enjoyable time in Thailand. Best wishes from OurJungle Camp, Marius

We took a trip to this hotel for our honeymoon. It was a lovely location, right next to the river and has a wonderful atmosphere. The monkeys just came right up to our terrace with their little ones, ready to be photographed ! The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. The organisation with the trips taken from here was great. Yet I found some aspects to be lacking. Taking a shower became a serious challenge, as the water pressure was almost non-existent. We had two small beds, which I at least expected to be a double, definitely on a honeymoon. The mosquito netting that was foreseen did not properly fit the beds and the ventilation was not adequate. Lastly the waiter staff in the restaurant should work on personal hygiene, as every time they passed we got a rancid smell of sweat, instantly losing our appetite. This happened during multiple meals.

Hi Rafv364, thank you for your feedback; we do appreciate this very much. Your comments are very nice regarding our organization and the friendliness of our staff and we thank you. We are also so glad to see that you enjoyed the best part of your stay with us and that nature provided for you! It's a pity that the shower was not sufficient and we would have gladly fixed this if you had let us know; we try to keep things operating as smoothly as possible, but sometimes things can break or need attention and we encourage guests to make us aware of issues as soon as possible, so that we can react quickly. As for the hygiene of our waiting staff, this is disappointing to hear. Our staff are always well presented at work and we have never noticed or been made aware of any unpleasant smells. However we do not dispute that this was the case for you and we will make sure our staff are aware of personal hygiene issues. Thank you again for staying with us.

Hi Saarn,
Thank you very much for your message and question, we are sorry for the delay in response. You are certainly right, Our Jungle Camp and Our Jungle House are partner properties, sharing similar concepts in providing unique accommodation options which incorporate the luxury of nature. I would personally say that the main difference lies in the properties, Our Jungle House is located on a vast property of protected evergreen rainforest, with a variety of individually designed treehouse and bungalow accommodation options. Whereby Our Jungle Camp is situated on a reforested fruit orchard, which provides more open spaces which are especially appreciated by families. Both properties are suitable for single travellers and we are offering Hut options with double bed arrangements which are a perfect fit. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us via our individual websites. We hope to be able to welcome you here with us in Khao Sok at Our Jungle.

Hi Sopie, thanks a lot for your question, the 1 Storey Tree Houses are fairly spacious with 35 sqm and offer sufficient space for 1 Extra Bed and 1 Baby Cot.
We understand your concerns regarding the staircases and the height of the Tree House and would like to alternatively recommend our Riverview or Paddy Bungalow´s which are sized the same.
We hope that helps and are looking forward to welcome you and your family at Our Jungle Camp in Khao Sok.
Best wishes,
Marius

Hi Sophie,
Thank you very much for your question, we are all very aware of the potential risk and it would be wrong to say that this animals are not common around Khao Sok. However, we are taking our maintenance and housekeeping very serious, which reduces the encounters of Bug´s, Spider´s and their like to a minimum. Furthermore are all beds and baby cots equipped with high quality mosquito netting, which will keep all crawlers out of your comfort zone.
Regarding Snakes, Our Resort, isn´t completely submerged in the Jungle but rather openly built, with open grass areas, which snakes seem not to like. Nonetheless do we brief and inform all visitors on how to behave in this pristine natural environment. We hope this helps and please do not hesitate to contact us with any further questions. We are looking forward to welcome you and best wishes from Our Jungle Camp ,
Marius
