The winding staircase is an original feature of building and can be tricky for some but we do have a straight staircase that gives access to the rooms upstairs as well as the spiral. We are glad that you enjoyed you stay with us over all & hope we will see you again

Lovely 3 night stay, very helpful staff, nice food, lovely breakfast choice. Rooms nicely fitted out with flat screen tv comfy bed tea and coffee facilities newspaper delivered to your door. Nice restaurant with good choice of dishes

I stayed 2 nights in The Red Lion which is open as pub, restaurant and hotel. It’s old with a twisty passage way to the bedrooms which were pleasantly modern and updated. I booked a double room which had a king sized bed, 2 seater settee to watch tv on and plenty of room for

relax on the bed
Tight squeeze access to left side of bed. Other side adequate.
I do apologise for not answering sooner, I was on holiday. Check in is from 2pm, but access to the room can be given from 12pm, it may not be clean but access to leave luggage and change for an event is possible. Check out is 11am.

Car Park at the rear appeared to be quite safe also one has to negotiate a narrow entry/entry which will assist and slow any thief down. But as mentioned by other residents all cars cannot be seen from the road.
