We stayed in Orchard cottage with one dog. The cottage was lovely and clean when we arrived and the log burner all set if we wanted to light it.

The garden was fully enclosed and my rescue dog was totally safe even though he could smell the farms birds.

The hot tub was lovely and clean and was wonderful for star gazing on a chilly evening we also saw lots of bats and a barn owl.

The location is very quiet and peaceful nestled in its own private land, however you are only 4 miles from the A38 so exploring was very easy.

I would highly recommend this location for dog owners and children a like as there is an entire woodland for all to explore. Dogs have to be on lead within the grounds which is very understandable as lots of ducks chickens and peacocks around.

I will be back maybe in one of the larger cottages next time with a few more people

Thank you so much for taking the time to write your review. It is lovely to hear that your dog was happy and settled during your stay - and great news that you saw the barn owl - they are common visitors hunting over the marsh - along with plenty of other types of owls up in the woods and meadows. We look forward to meeting you again in the future.

I am so pleased we managed to host our Sona Pilates Retreat at Lower Marsh Farm this year. Oliva and her team were in constant communication all the way up to the weekend - open discussions and their expert advice on what would work, what has worked in the past and all possibilities for the activities planned. The accommodation is beautifully presented, clean, cosy and accented by the period features of the barns and the details of fresh flowers, welcome towels and soaps, stunning views out of every window.
Ample room and space for all guests to relax, walk, move and be creative - facilities (showers, bathrooms, kitchens and living spaces) are modern, sleek and sufficient in number for all our guests staying. Add in hot tubs, delicious home made meals, wonderful service and beautiful Cornish surroundings and wildlife and you will never want to leave.
We can't wait to host our retreats here again and even to book a cottage separately for some of our own down time and holiday. Thank you Lower Marsh Farm for a wonderful rejuvenating stay!

We stayed in Orchard Cottage for a week at the end of August in to September 2021 and all I can say is what a lovely place This is, lovely and comfortable and really clean there’s a nice walled enclosed garden ideal if you have a dog, and a private hot tub a proper one not a lazy spa and it’s cleaned and water changed between each guest which is very reassuring.
The owners have really thought of everything you could need even welly boots you can borrow, games DVDs even a picnic hamper for those walks in the countryside, there was a lovely hamper waiting for us on arrival with local produce some eggs form there own ducks and chickens and there home made apple juice.
All in all I have to say this is one of the nicest places we have stayed and would recommend it to anyone without hesitation.

We stayed at the Kingfisher Barn with our son and family. The Farm is situated quite remotely and from the main road is reached by lane where care must be taken as used by tractors on the local farms. On reaching the farm if you are looking for a quiet and peaceful holiday this is the place to be. The barn was large and spacious and with a great lounge to just sit and relax. In the farmyard ducks and hens and a pair of peacocks wandered freely, with cattle on the Saltmarsh. Good walks in the woods and down to the shoreline of River Tamar. The owners and staff were very friendly and welcoming and the food cooked and supplied on site was excellent. If you fancy a pub meal I recommend the Who'd of Thought It at St Dominick.

We have just come back from a fantastic week in Lower Marsh farm. We stayed in Orchard Cottage which was so perfectly cosy ! The cottage was spotless, well equipped, amazing hot tub and enclosed garden which was so perfect for our spaniel. The welcome hamper of yummy goodies was such a lovely touch too. The farm is just perfect for a peaceful stay, you literally can’t hear anything except nature and the quacking of the on-site ducks (very entertaining along with the naughty peacocks!). Plenty to do onsite, we enjoyed putting on wellies and going for a muddy walk down to the river and just sitting back and relaxing. This was our first time to Cornwall and we enjoyed visiting the local towns as well as the tourist hotspots (these are a fair drive from the village, however we loved being able to return from a busy day at beaches to such a peaceful location). Very helpful and friendly owners. Would defiantly recommend a stay at Lower Marsh Farm!

We stayed at Lower Marsh with friends & family to celebrate a special birthday and enjoy New Year together
We stayed in the main large accommodation which was very big and very well equipped. The owners had literally thought of everything and were so helpful. We were met with fresh local produce in the kitchen and great local info to plan our trip
We cooked a lot and there was everything you needed - shops are a quick drive away - lanes are quite narrow but you soon get used to the route
The farm has peacocks, ducks, chickens and cows which was great for the children
The main house is an upside down house with a good kitchen, dining area and lounge. Beautifully decorated for the festive season
Downstairs there are 4 bedrooms a bathroom & an extra toilet. There is also access to another bathroom in the boot room
The boot room has wellies to borrow & drying rack etc
Above is a great games room & we were also able to use a large room to celebrate in with big tables, fridge, lights etc
Main house hot tub is big and easy to use
The owners live opposite & are really helpful but not intrusive
Great walks around the farm
Friends rented the other available cottages and had their own accommodation with hot tubs
All in all we had a fabulous time after Covid enjoying a great settting in lovely accommodation . Owners really wanted us to have a great break
Can’t wait to come back and would love to come in the Summer to stay in the yurts

You cannot wish for a more idyllic and perfect place to escape to. Lower Marsh Farm is set in a beautiful, quiet part of the Cornish countryside, within a very short walk of the River Tamar. The owners were so welcoming and helpful giving great suggestions on things to do and places to go. Waking up in the peace of the countryside with chickens, ducks and even Highland cattle was such a welcome change to the hustle and bustle of city life. There is even a Waitrose conveniently placed just after you cross the bridge. I would recommend anyone to stay here.

Warm people, lovely rooms and delicious food.

Ducks and every sort of activity you could ask for. The beds were comfy and the accommodation had everything we could have asked for.

Olivia and Stef really looked after all of us.

I had almost lost interest in food before I arrived at the farm. With a little love and care I feel like I was recalibrated back to enjoying eating with friends.

Stay in a yurt! Become a yurt person , a yurtolian.
Make friends with a tree, pick your favourite duck, jump in the river, Cautiously follow a peacock around.

Enjoy life again.

What a lovely place to spend New Year and celebrating a 40th birthday with friends. We rented out all 3 accommodations and it worked brilliantly as those of us with children were in the main house and those without had privacy in their own accommodation but the main house was big enough for us all to gather in the evenings and the plus was 'Bulrush barn' which was a fab communal space where we celebrated New Year. Having been initially worried it would be cold, we lit the fire and ended up having to let it go very low as we were all so hot 😀. The whole place was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The whole place seemed to be very well equipped - even with a supply of wellies that came in very handy as a couple of the children had forgotten theirs. There were a couple of lovely walks and I bet it's wonderful in the summer with all that space. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to go away as a large group with children.
