Walking dogs in a grey and chilly Sunday, and suffering from a slight panic when one naughty beagle slipped her lead, the welcome in the Bluebell was restorative! The young staff made us very welcome. The menu was typical pub grub - with the occasional twist. We ordered gammon egg and chips, and fish and chips. After one adventure with...

Good range of decent local real ales and cider. The new landlord who's just moved back into the area was friendly and gave us several pointers for local attractions. He is looking to improve the menu, so we are hoping to eat here soon!

Had a few pints and a good lunch as usual but when I said the bill was too cheap (the food price was missing) the manager/owner? didn't bother to say thank you and just made the excellent barmaid feel guilty about the error. Not the first time it's happened so I will definitely not do the right thing again and...

Daughter and I had dinner and drinks hear again this Sunday. Everything was as expected, fresh, plentiful and prompt in this wonderful country inn. Plus a roaring fire blazing on the cold November day.
