Fantastic food with lovely rooms and brilliant service. In the centre of Kettlewell with amazing scenery and walking literally on the doorstep. Highly recommended. Menu was great, standard of food was so good and the surroundings were so lovely. Great relaxed atmosphere and value for money.

Last visited this pub nearly 40 years ago. Went to see if it had changed, or was even still open. A truly great dining experience, and real ale too! Worth a trip in its own right, and amongst some of the best Yorkshire scenery.

Had a lovely meal in the Kings Head one of three pubs in the village of Kettlewell. A fantastic range of dishes on the chalked up menu ranging from duck breast, confit of duck, baked pork chop to hake in lobster sauce. Interesting vegetarian dishes too. A cut above typical pub food and all the better for it. Dishes were...

Can't beat Kettlewell any time and this pub delivers knockout food for excellent value. The kitchen is ably run by Michael and his pedigree shines through every dish. There's a lovely warm fire while you wait for your table, and the waiting staff are extremely helpful and friendly. We went back after a year from our previous visit and were...

Four of us stayed in the village for a couple of nights but we managed to sample the wares in most places. This was our first choice but because we wanted to stay on a Monday night we had to look elsewhere. The pub itself is really more a restaurant with rooms -gastro pub style. The food was excellent ,...

My mum and dad and sister went here for my mums birthday. I live all the way in Australia and was unable to attend. I called up the Hotel restaurant and asked them if theyd mind doing a desert which said happy birthday from myself written in chocolate. They were very accommodating, and had no problems. Was a great surprise...

There is that little bit of class about the menu and quality of food here. Certainly not pub grub in the choices you have available and you can be reasonably certain that even the most experienced of diners will relish the quality of the food. From the outside the establishment does not appear all that appealing but this is very...

We have just spent a night at the Kings Head and found it to be a little gem. It is situated in a quiet, quaint Yorkshire village and we were made to feel so welcome from the start. We later found out that the owners were away, however the young lady in charge was very efficient, helpful and friendly....everything was...

This was my first visit to the Yorkshire Dales specifically to fell walk. It's cliche to say it but the scenery is truly spectacular and very inspiring. After climbing to the top of a 2200 foot ridge and a then a long ramble we were anticipating checking into our accommodation and resting our feet, with relish. The Kings Head hit...
