Arrival on a reasonably nice day with my wife, granddaughter & niece with son & girlfriend arriving the next day.
Check in with Nigel was just easy, checked out shower block etc, absolutely spotless (additional cleaning & hygiene ongoing)
Making this a short review the place is easy to access, not too large to be over run by armies of people, close enough to Kettlewell for other amenities but far enough for the piece.
The only problem we had was the weather over the next 2 days (which I'm told they have no control of !!).
Thanks again Nigel , it's great to see these places getting back to some form of normality after recent worldwide events, which gives us somewhere to go to stem the stir crazy feelings of lockdown.
Great place

A wonderful campsite. So peaceful, amazing facilities, shower better than the one we have at home! Would highly recommend. Fantastic location for discovering the dales and all its beauty! Everyone went quiet at 10 and no noise throughout the night apart from the church bells, perfection

Love this place. Unassuming, small site but in a perfect location with lovely Kettlewell just moments away through a gorgeous churchyard walk. Big pitches and firepits for hire and toilet blocks with warm (no push button when a few seconds have passed or coin operation) showers with loads of space to hang up your stuff so it doesn't get wet. Two very nice pubs in strolling distance and a great pub in Starbotton 2 miles down the Dales Way. Just perfect.

This was our first camping holiday and we were both excited and apprehensive. On arriving Nigel was extremely helpful and accommodating. He directed us to our plot which was handy for the footpath into Kettlewell village and gave us a tour of the facilities on the campsite. We were really impressed with the smart shower block which was lovely and clean and always had plenty of hot water. There was a pots washing area and also a fridge and freezer which we used every day.
I would highly recommend this campsite . The views from our tent were fabulous and we spent each evening seated around our firepit playing games with our two teenage boys.
Kettlewell is a lovely place to visit and like the campsite spotless. We walked along lovers lane to the stepping stones as well as walked to Starbottom and enjoyed a drink in its local pub.
It was a lovely short break and we wouldn't hesitate to visit again sometime soon.

A last minute trip for one night to spend time with my daughter before she started work!! I booked the pitch on Tuesday, for a visit on Thursday, quite expensive, but for one night decided I'd run to £30! Sadly on Wednesday evening my husband had a nasty fall, which needed medical attention and we decided that in his best interests we should postpone the trip. I called Nigel first thing Thursday morning, not asking for a refund, but an alternative date given the circumstances, and we were happy to be flexible with the day. His response was that he'd be out of pocket if he did that!!! Thanks for the understanding!!My daughter later tried to speak with him and he put the phone down on her having likened our situation to asking a neighbour for money. I truly wish I had read all of the reviews before booking. It surfices to say I am a great believer in karma and I hope you get yours in bucket loads Nigel.

The best campsite I have ever stayed in. Took my boyfriend for his first camping experience and we are already talking about going back. Easy check-in and checkout. The best facilities I've ever had in a campsite for this price (you don't have to keep turning the showers on every 15 seconds, clean and powerful). Beautiful location, less than 5 mins walk to 2 local pubs and cute village. Plenty of space, not over crowded. Very well kept. Easy drives to loads of local destinations. We wish we stayed longer, can't wait to come back. Cannot recommend higher for a trip to the Yorkshire Dales.

Stunning campsite with great facilities

We went with another family, so 2 tents with 4 adults and 4 children.

This campsite has some incredible views from all angles. The site is very flat with good shower and washing facilities... Camp fires can be had if hiring fire pit which is great for an evening beverage and chat with friends.

Loads of walking around the area, or just a quick stroll into Kettlewell for pubs and ice cream stalls. We took the kids for a mile.or so walk along the stream where they can paddle etc.

I would highly recommend this place for camping, especially families ... If you have a larger group its worth speaking to the owners about their field for hire where you can get a big group further away from the main site. We haven't done this but did walk to the site and it's really big with great facilities

The campsite itself is spotless with superior facilities and the owner is second to none in how he is friendly and helpful .
Only 30 minutes from where I live but it is another world and will be returning to have more great times .

Excellent campsite in an amazing location, walking distance to the beautiful village with a couple of lovely pubs. Stunning walks right on your doorstep and the facilities are brilliant and spotlessly clean. You can also hire fire pits which we did and they were really reasonably priced,Can’t wait to go back.
