We stayed here last night in a Bondi cabin. It started off badly when the owner rings me and tells me the room booked via wotif wouldn't fit our family so we would have to pay an extra $20 - I'm sorry but that's not our issue if it let us book the cabin when I specifically said it was...

We booked as a B&B as advertised and stayed in the restored train carriage and wow!!, first impression beautiful . And then, like getting too close to a female impersonator the cracks in the makeup started to appear. No mobile or internet connection. Nearest food the day we stayed at Pt Fairy 20k down the road. No breakfast but a...

We stayed here over Easter 2016. Three families (including 3x 5 year olds, and two toddlers). Apologies to anyone wanting some quiet solitude that weekend. We had a great stay and thank the owners for their hospitality. I've always wanted to stay in a railway sleeper car and so can finally tick that off my bucket list. This is pretty...

On or arrival, there was nobody there. I found a note on the office window to advise where to find our carriage and some one would see us later. The fellow turned up some time later and we were advised there was no dining on Monday night. We can use the cooking facilities if we wish. I advised that we...

My husband and I stayed in the train carriage named 'Port Fairy Flyer' for 2 nights. We were very excited with the room interior and its furniture and we also love the authentic windows too. In the morning, we were greeted by 3 beautiful alpacas grazing on the grass, 5 peacocks roaming freely, 2 dogs, 2 cats, 1 chatty cockatoo,...

My partner, myself and our little dog stayed in the Port Fairy Flyer (converted train carriage) while we were here and thought it was very cute and quaint. Geoff and his partner have made a big effort to keep the furnishings authentic and vintage looking. The bathroom is a new add on, but again the vintage wooden furnishings in here...

The web site made this accommodation look special. We were very disappointed. It is a lovely setting with nice gardens but that was it. There was no heating, amenities were substandard, very old pitted plastic kettle, no milk provided and a miniature old TV. There was no information in the room about dining out as there are no shops any...

We are sorry, but your review, honestly, it exasperates us. Lets take your comments point by point. Heating: every, and I do mean ever room has heating. It's provided by reverse cycle air-con in most & electric heaters in 2. Amenities: we have been rated by independent industry organisations as 3.5 star in all rooms 4 star in Settlers Cottage....

Stayed here recently as I had business in Mount Gambier, Portland & Warnambool, this place is handy to all as its between Port Fairy & Portland. You could drive past this place and not give it a second look, I urge you to. This is a secret garden hideaway with beautifully converted train accomodation or traditional cottages. The animals that...

Thank you for your review. You make a statement that we so often hear, people drive into our property and say "wow, I had no idea there was something like this here"! It is, we believe, a lovely little oasis, our little heaven. And we particularly enjoy sharing it with our guests. Hope we see you again. Thanks & Regards,...

Worth the 4 hour drive :-) We really wanted a get away with our dog and we found Codrington Gardens! Such a family friendly, inviting place. The rooms were comfortable and clean and we loved the animals all over the property. How great to open our curtains and see a Lama walk past. Our dog was in heaven and fell...

Thank you very much for taking the time to review our property & the experience of your visit. We've said this before, but we know that unhappy guests go right out of their way to sound their discontent, whereas if you go home after a happy enjoyable visit and with the best of intentions it's easy to get back into...
