Sous l'Olivier is a nice Chambre d'Hote situated in the centre of the village of Trausse. Hosts Debbie and George made us both welcome even to the point of offering to phone through to restaurants in order to reserve a table. Based on this, we'd have no hesitation in recommending a visit. Our room was simply furnished with a good...

One of France's many "chambres d'hotes" which we found to be cheerful, welcoming and helpful. Debby & Georges are glad to have you there and you quickly become one of the "family". The pool beckons, breakfasts are delicious and tea is sometimes available. The location is 15 minutes from the Canal du Midi and only 25km from giant Carcassonne. We...

Just back from our 3rd stay over 3 years, and writing to provide a recent review for anyone wondering if it's still as good. The answer is definitely yes! Great accommodation, great pool, great hosts (Debby even arranged an emergency dental appointment for our daughter with toothache). The village of Trausse is very quiet, but has a small shop, a winery...

Debby and George made us most welcome in their home and couldn't have been more obliging. We spent 5 days with them and found the location quiet yet accessible to the area. On their recommendation we had dinner at a lovely restaurant in Homps, rented great bikes for riding the canal which we would NEVER have found otherwise, took George's...

What a hidden gem. Debby and Georges were great hosts with a wealth of knowledge about the local area. The beautiful bedroom was clean and comfortable with nice little touches. Breakfast by the pool made the holiday. We would definitely visit again and again.

Our bedroom was very spacious and comfortable with a large bed and very good shower room. The house is beautifully restored with lots of interesting and well chosen pieces. There is a lovely swimming pool in the...

Very well located for Carcassonne, Canal Du Midi and beautiful villages and vineyards. The cycling arranged by Georges and Debby was great! A lovely French house with beautiful bedrooms and very tasteful decor. Breakfast by the pool in the sunshine was delicious. Debby and George were great hosts and so helpful with local information and lovely places to eat! We...

In June, we spent several relaxing days in this lovely, comfortable Chambre d'hote in a cute, authentic Languedoc village surrounded by vineyards with the Montagne Noire rising behind. Hosts Debby and Georges could not have been more welcoming and helpful in so many ways. In fact, Georges went out of his way to assist us, acting as translator, guide and...

An ideal location for sight seeing and relaxation in the heart of the Minervois region. Our hosts Debby and Georges were very welcoming in their chambre d'hotes and were a source of information on the many attractions of the area from vineyards, restaurants and the Canal du Midi. The accommodation was of a high standard providing Wifi and rooms with...

We had a fabulous weekend in Trausse in June 2012 and the Sous l'Olivier was the perfect base for our stay. The owners Debby and Georges were very welcoming and their local knowledge was invaluable. The bedroom was light, spacious and airy with its own en-suite and an extremely comfy bed. The large guests lounge was a great space for...
