Stayed here for 4 days in March and lived every minute. The entire staff is so friendly, and makes you feel like family immediately. The beach is impeccable- over a mile long of perfect, white soft sand and very few people. This island is a dream.

We visited Lazy Hut for dinner three times in our five night stay in Koh Phayam. The food is excellent and the staff are very friendly and genuinely just lovely. We had four kids with us and the staff were very accommodating with food ie organising kid friendly offerings like pasta and plain fried rice. For us this was the best food we had on the island. 👍👍👍

So my 10 nights stay has been relaxing , it truly is 'lazy' we have spent our days relaxing in the hammocks or sunbathing or swimming in the sea ,we stayed in a luxury bungalow which has two big beds in , two fans , nicely decorated and comfy beds, all of the bungalows are on the beach , the bamboo ones are just set back a little but you are still 'on the beach'. The food here is good value and tasty,a few things we have asked to be addapted to our own tastes and the staff have kindly listened to our requests, remember to book direct with the owner rather than booking dot com for a better rate, find the lazy hut page on Facebook and message though there , the sunsets here are amazing also , thankyou to all the staff at lazy hut for making us feel so welcome 💜💚♥️💙

Ok, first you look for a place to be and you find it, then you Muss paid it 50% in advance, you agree, then you do the long Trip to here and all picts you saw are at least 4 years old and the place sucks. Garbage rooms with dead animals at the beds, excrements everyhere and the room overpriced, you try to say something and they say: Bad luck you booked over Internet! 200% more expensive and you get just 50% of it.No MONEY BACK HERE, YOU MONEY IS ALLREADY GONE BE AWARE DON NOT COME HERE THERE IS A LOT OF PLACES BETTER FOR THE SAME MONEY

Response from Yod L, Owner at Lazy Hut

-The basic room has designed on natural style with the natural material and also open room also bath room to make the feeling of nature and feel comfortable with fresh air get inside. It may caused the insect come in the room but we alway take care of these issued.Actually the customer had let us know and the problem can be solved as quickly as we can just let us know. -If you booked by online agency it will be plus 15% commission (not 200%as you nentioned to) and for sure it is expensive more than you have book direct to me.The most of customer they known and made reservetion to me directly. If you booked by booking.com you must be pay deposit 50% in advance to guarantee that you will come for sure while the hotel keep the room for you. Some of the customer they have booked accomodation without responsbility and they has not come and it always made the hotel in trouble for their booking system that why booking.com allowed the hotel set up the policy asking for deposit. Some of the bad customer they didn't took the room by many reason they have made that it was a very normal problem that we can fix it very quickly. They come with super expectation while they needed to pay with very cheap cost that why the new reason always made. We can offer the customer with new room if it was available or upgrade to the better room or change to the new room on another day.If you didn't try we had right to kept your deposit no refund because our room will be free and some customer lost the chanced to get the room by your reservation. When you booked hotel by agoda you must paid 100% for deposit. When you buy airplan ticket you must pay 100% in advance. When you buy online product you must paid100% in advance. You cannot get refund for most of these without the reason needed if you has canceled. Is it right? So we has not robbed you and we don't need your little money anyway by your unreasonable reason but we must do it. As I known this season we never kept the full deposit from customer who has arrved and didn't 'took the room but just only charged for1night and gave money back to customer for the rest . The normal cost to stay 1 night at lazy hut in basic hut is very cheap(500baht/night) for thai customer and it is not easy to found at another island. Most of customers they are happy for this price since they known it is very cheap and they understand how to support each other. Lazy hut is very famouse for hospitality, friendly, reasonable and sacrificed. I'm sorry to made you got unsatifaction but you could be come with good attitude, open mind and reasonable then you can feel happy. Hope we can be a good friend if you are good prople and know me more. Yod/The lazy man Lazy hut manager/owner

My husband and I visited in July 2017. We travelled here from Bangkok which took about 15 hours. We arrived at the 'lazy hut' by scooter and it was dark and raining. We were shown to a 'bungalow' which was very dark with gaps in the bamboo for windows. We were advised there was no electricity during the day and unfortunately, due to the weather, this meant it was very dark. We asked to move to a room and the staff showed us to a room in the main building which we felt would be more suitable. I have to be honest, from my first impression I wasn't sure I'd be able to stay there for 3 days!
BUT... we woke up the next day and the weather was lovely. We had the beach to ourselves (even though it is a little dirty due to rubbish washing in from the sea) and it was so peaceful. The staff are very friendly and do whatever they can to help. We loved it so much we didn't explore any of the island, we just relaxed at the lazy hut for 3 days.
The food is amazing. We toured around Thailand, but the food at lazy hut was the best we had. They don't always have everything in, but if you ask about something earlier in the day they may try to get it for you by the evening.
I the end we had an amazing stay and would definitely recommend staying here, as long as you're aware that it is very basic accommodation. If you get into the spirit, hopefully you will love it like we did!

we came to lazy hut many times during our two weeks in koh phayam because a lot of other travelfriends stayed at this resort. lazy hut is located under big shady trees on a flat area, which is very comfortable during the heat in the early afternoon. the resort offers different types of bungalows. some are in low budget style...other ones have a higher standard...specially those, which are built closer to the beach and the restaurant. so everybody will find the right place to sleep there.
the restaurant is located directly on the big and wide beach ao yai and we tried the offered thai food during every visit. the food was fresh and delicious.
also the different shakes were very tasty...same as the typical thai desserts like mango with sticky rice or bananas cooked in coconutmilk.
the staff in this resort is very attendent and friendly...they try to fullfill every wish so fast as possible. funny conversation with them was possible at any time.
the nice beachbar is illuminated after sunset and is open from afternoon till open end and the comfortable wooden plateaux and the no less comfortable beachchairs, which are spreaded around the bar makes every sunset a little bit more nicer. sinking temperatures and a sundowner was always a pleasure for us.
because the resort is located at the eastend of ao yai the sunset is realy spectacular.
we can recomment lazy hut absolutely. the place is peaceful and quiet. specially the atmosphere during sunset is extraordinary...paired with great food...perfect!

We first booked here just because it is a pet friendly bungalow but after checking in we were surprised by its location where you can enjoy zipping your drinks in front of your room with such a stunning sunset view. The service is amazing and friendly with both staff and owner. The food is gorgeous even we go to tried food in the town but it wasn't as good as the food in the resort. We will come back here for sure. Highly recommended!
