Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Any faults with the premises are common to travelodges and should not be blamed on the staff. Corporate travelodge should fund regular deep cleaning and schedule more frequent maintenance and upgrades at all properties, after all they're still issuing key fobs and actual door keys into rooms that seem to have been last decorated circa 1992. These hotels are only worth staying in at dirt cheap rates because of the staff and after a very cautious inspection. There are some mould issues because of the age of the installations, particularly in some bathrooms, as well as rust. There's's provision for the HoH and Deaf at the desk and with alarms. Unless you've the auditory ability, patience, energy and time to persist with a national telephone line to specify your needs then it's very much a room lottery. It should be noted that the doors are particularly narrow and it's almost impossible to get a standard width power chair through especially with such a tight turn. The room doors are ridiculously heavy, which for people with chronic illnesses/disabilities is challenging at best. But combined with the width of room doors and turning circles, there could be real issues in an emergency, being at least partially ambulant makes it slightly more reassuring. You also really need someone to accompany you to manage access on site. Fortunately Emilia welcomed us warmly, checked that we could evacuate in an emergency and was constantly on hand to offer help any time we went near the reception doors. The location isn't amazing but convenient.

Dear Podimore Travelodge,……just to say a sincere thanks to Chloe on receiving us on our recent stay and to Mollie on checking us out when departing. Great customer service throughout our stay; nothing was too much trouble; the rooms were above all clean and very comfortable (credit must also be given to the ‘cleaning staff’). Lastly, ‘security’ was above & beyond what you might normal expect, long may it continue…..thanks again Chloe & Mollie. Wishing you and your families a very Happy Easter. Regards, Royston, Terry & Robert.

This felt more like a work hostel than a hotel. Groups of men hanging around the entrance smoking, some in dressing gowns! I did not feel safe here at all. I would not stay again. Driving in with the black buildings of fast food joints in the car park felt oppressive. The whole area gave the appearance of somewhere run down and unsafe.

I'm used to Travelodges as I travel a lot and I look for quality people because not all hotels have the best staff. Very nice people, very helpful, everytime I asked for help, I received it. Can't really think of something I could complain about. 100% recomend and would stay again.

Jo, the receptionist was incredibly helpful and exceptionally kind. She greeted the whole family so well. We had a comfortable bed and quiet nights sleep. Good location with Greigs and Burger King only 30 yards from the entrance, handy for breakfast.

Room was basic but clean. All the staff, especially Jo, were very helpful and always cheerful. Good value for the money. But wish there was a kitchen. We did miss a full English breakfast. However the breakfast boxes were adequate and there was a Burger King nearby.
