I booked this trip as a Christmas present before the lockdown kicked in - so glad I did! A wonderful B&B where we were welcomed as soon as we arrived. An upgraded room, hot drinks and to die for shortbread biscuits were only the start. The room was clean and modern, with a great shower and bath and even a little dressing room/area. The view over the gardens and countryside were beautiful. Breakfast was incredible. Cold choices (fruits, cereals, yoghurts etc) followed by lots of hot options. Nettie was accommodating, friendly and absolutely lovely. The location was perfect for exploring the local area, the coast, York and the Dales. We had such a great time and will be back in the spring (we hope)!

Oh my, thanks so much for your really positive review and your kind words. You were a great couple and I'm glad you made it back safely after your muddy trek to the wilds of Pond Head! Thank you for our muffled-behind-a-mask entertaining chats at breakfast and I hope that this year is indeed a year for those previously postponed overseas adventures. I would be delighted to see you back again if ever you crave some "Quiet in Crayke"....thank you both again x

Visited Hazelwood Farm bnb for a couple of nights. Lovely little find. Friendly, clean and personal touches made our stay perfect. Lovely views, amazing breakfast choices and delicious little treats on arrival. Amazing hosting by Annette and nothing was too much trouble. Accommodating to gluten free needs. Would definently stay here again and would recommend to anyone. Thank you so much 😊

THANK YOU so much, Sesa1989, for your most generous inaugural Trip Advisor review and I really am very grateful to you for taking the time to write one. You were wonderful folk to have to stay and thank you for always being so appreciative of everything. I'm sorry that you did not experience Hazelwood Farm at it's pre-Covid standard with all the little extra bits and pieces that are scattered around the place but it would be my utter pleasure to have you both back to stay sometime in a more normal future. Thanks again for being great company, for smiling lots, and for the lovely review!

Once again we have just returned from a wonderful stay with Nettie at Hazelwood Farm. Nettie is just the most wonderful hostess serving tea and homemade chocolate cake upon our arrival. Our room was perfect as always and the homemade treats Nettie leaves every day on the tea tray are worth coming back for after a long day walking.Breakfast is delicious with lots of choice. All in all, a great B&B, great hostess and great banter. See you in December.

Ha!! I knew "banter" would be in there somewhere!!! Thank you, wonderful Honeymooners67, for that great review...you do make me laugh! Remember that i only make you cake as I like the friends you bring with you!! I'm pleased you have found some lovely long walks nearby as this is indeed great walking country and yes, you most definitely deserve to have your cake and to eat it! Thank you for the meaningful "dialogue" each morning which is the highlight of my day! Until December....

Another lovely few days at Hazelwood Farm. Thank you Nettie for making our Golden Wedding Anniversary special. Wonderful setting, wonderful food and the hostess with the mostest. Nettie in our opinion is as Tina Turner says “Simply the Best”.

The host Annette is a charm and her establishment second to none. First time we have stayed, but will not be our last I’m sure. Room (Minster View) was immaculately presented and to an excellent standard. Breakfast was perfect - what more can I say.
