Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Best b&b ever!!! Netty is the best host & nothing is too much trouble. Beautiful b&b, gorgeous breakfast (and those mushrooms!!) wonderful countryside & part of the country. A stones throw from York, you can see York Minster from the patio on a clear day!! Highly recommend the best B&B ever!

Probably one of the best bed and breakfasts in the country. Annette is extremely welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. The room was clean and tidy with extra little touches that were second to none. The parlour is a lovely area to enjoy a game or read a book and have a complimentary drink or two!! If you’ve forgotten anything this is also accommodated for. Attention to detail was exceptional and the breakfast was outstanding. If I could give this a 6 star rating I would do.

Oh, wow, don't know how to say a big enough thank you for that generous review (so let's go for humongous instead of just big!) You have been very kind for taking the time to write one and we really appreciate your complimentary words (it's the pure Yorkshire air that tricks the mind!!) And of course it would be a total pleasure to have you to stay again any time you are in this neck of the woods (or open farmland with spectacular views!) Thanks again, Craig.

From the min of booking to departing we couldn't fault this place. Annette was welcoming and anything we needed or asked was done/answered. Food amazing. Wow! If you get chance to book you won't be disappointed. We will be returning without a doubt. Little touches which I won't spoil by telling you, made it so special.

I take that as a true compliment when you say how peaceful it is here, considering what a lovely rural and calm county you come from! 3 visits just goes to show how much stamina you two have...so thanks for returning! And thank you for choosing to spend your special anniversary with us here in snowy (slushy?) Crayke. Till next Tattinger Tasting Treat!

Went back to the Farm B & B as promised & met up again with Nettie in her delightful property. This time stayed in Minster View downstairs. I clocked the York Minster towers in the far distance looking South over the fields on a slight misty but sunny morning over breakfast. The room was brilliant in every respect. Stayed 2 nights this time & breakfast superb both mornings. Looked out for that German rye bread in Asda today but to no avail Nettie. You are a wonderful host & no wonder you get top TA reviews. Did that walk recommended in your room information book & got a cracking view of the White Horse of Kilburn. Will be back again no doubt. Mick & Lynn

Thanks so much, both of you, for that fantastic review....what a lucky chick I am that you wanted to return for two nights this time! I'm glad you enjoyed that walk as it's great to explore from the doorstep (and if you're wanting to walk off breakfast you could always walk along the horse's back and don't think too much about the big hill you have to conquer first to get there!) And if ever you are brave enough to return I will endeavour to track down some rye bread. Thanks again, kindly folk!

We have just returned from another relaxing break at Hazelwood Farm. From Nettie’s wonderfully warm welcome, spotlessly clean and comfortable accommodation and delicious breakfast in the lovely dining room make for a truly relaxing stay. I'm just so pleased that you enjoyed your visit and had a lovely (but chilly!) day at the coast. Thank you again for taking the time to write such a generous review.

This is the best B & B we have ever stayed in with the quality of the accommodation & the superb breakfast put on by Nattie. In the smallest of the 3 rooms (the Mosswood) but well pleased with bed/bedding, towels, toiletries, power shower all superb. What makes it so good is the friendliness of host Nattie, We checked in a little late but greeted with drinks & cake in the parlour. No wonder it's always booked up in advance but we will endeavor to return. Mick & Lynn B.

Hazelwood Farm must be the UK’s best b & b. From the moment you arrive you get a great welcome from Nettie to the moment you leave. The beds help you to have a good nights sleep and then in the morning you can enjoy a wonderful breakfast. There is so much to say but the only way is to try it.
