Nice view, quite area (very quiet). We stayed in unit Toi Toi, spacious room with fully equipped kitchen. It is quite desserted though, no grocery store nor eatery nearby. You have to come prepared with food. Room has smell of previous cooking done by previous tenant, thats the only dislike.

We were on a trip from Christchurch to Mt Cook, Dunedin, Waikawa, Queenstown, Milford Sound, and ending up trekking the Routeburn Track. So glad we discovered Waikava Harbour View with its great facilities, wonderful views, lots of wildlife and a lovely area to relax in, but if you wanted exercise, great walks in the Catlins. We visited the spectacular McLean...

We were 4 couples, staying for 4 nights, so despite the main lodge having 4 bedrooms, we decided to be decadent and spread out, so we also rented the two cabins Toi Tois and Harakeke. So we had the entire place to ourselves with 2 couples in the lodge and theother two in cabins. That worked out very reasonably at...

We stayed in Tois Toi which perfect for a couple. There was lots of room and everything was beautifully clean, well maintained and comfortable. The view from the deck was amazing. Locally there is a really interesting museum and we had a great time watching the penguins at Curio Bay. We had coffee and dinner at the Niagara Falls Cafe which...

A wonderful clean and well equipped place to stay. Every need was catered for. Lots of information on things to do and serviced by wonderful cafés close by. The Blue Cod Blues two minutes walk away gave us a wonderful blue cod and chips meal and was very friendly. A wonderful informative museum and we would certainly stay again.

We had 8 of us and plenty of room. The location is beautiful and the house, spotless. Enjoyed take away from the little diner down the road. Be sure to bring groceries though-don't expect to shop for them in the area.

We booked the lodge and for us as a family it was the best place I have stayed in. It reminds me of home and was clean and nicely presented. I enjoyed the style the owners have obviously taken care to decorate with - very kiwi like. The environment is beyond magnificent and the history of the place from what...

Two Aussies, one Pom and a Kiwi, all seasoned travellers (in more ways than one ?) enjoyed a most delightful stay in the Lodge. Clean with great views and Niagra Bar & Cafe just up the road. We wanted for nothing. A most Beautiful part of South Island, and we shall return for a longer stay in the future, we...

We stayed in the Toi Toi cottage, just beautiful! Cottage is delightful with beautiful views. Recommend you read the visitors book. Internet is a bit slow so don't plan to upload too many photos here. Very close to Curio Bay. Go down an hour or two before dusk for little yellow-eyed penguin spotting (we saw chicks being fed) and the...

This place is a brilliant hide away a welcome break in the middle of a busy South Island tour. Everything has been thought of that you would need even the sunrise and sunset on the private deck. Just lovely.
