I went there for 2 weeks during October combining business and some relaxing moments. First of all I love the area. It has some nice restaurants, beach bars, clean beaches and crystal waters, mini market and bakery all very close, no more than 3 minutes walking distance. The apartment had a separate bedroom, bathroom with shower and living room with open plan kitchen. Everything you need is there. Kitchen fully equipped with all appliances, a real size oven with stove, fridge, washing machine, espresso and filter coffee machine, microwave and many many more. A comfortable bed and 2 TVs, one in the living room and one in bedroom. The space was very clean and cozy. There is also a private car parking space. But the best part for me was the large terrace with stunning nature views. It was quiet this time of the year but not secluded. There is an uphill climb to the main road, but a car is recommended to explore the island. I will definitely go back

We booked with EasyJet Holidays at short notice after our original booking in Crete was cancelled due to Covid. I thought I had booked the Barbati Beach Apartments, and there was some confusion after arriving at nearly 1:00am as EasyJet business is handled by local firm Green View Travel, everything was eventually sorted out however with the help of a wonderful guy named Thanasis (he is your goto man for anything at all), and we found ourseleves in the Nafsika Apartment. This is the lower half of a semi-detatched property on a 250m street of similar properties situated just behind the beach in Barbati. Access for vehicles is by an electronic barrier, you have a controller on your key fob; so the street is quiet at night. At one end is the Nautilus Taverna and the swimming pool, of which you have free use. At the other end is the "La Riviera" taverna and beach bar. These properties also appear to be known by the name La Riviera Apartments. We had booked a studio apartment, but were upgraded to a two-bedroom apartment at no extra charge. The apartment was fabulously well equipped, with a modern kitchen, having all the appliances and equipment a family of four could possibly wish for, including a decent sized fridge-freezer and a modern electric oven with a four burner hob. Microwave oven, George Foreman style grill, dishwasher, double drainer with washing up liquid and scouring sponge, tea towels etc, filter coffee machine, you name it. A decent sized bathroom had a 6kg load washing machine in one corner, a proper bathtub with shower and all the usual facilities, tiled and fitted to a high standard. There was always plenty of hot water. The master bedroom benefitted from a comfortable king-sized bed and plenty of wardrobe hanging space. Shuttered french windows with fly-screen, led to the patio and garden, which had a table and four chairs for breakfast in the sunshine, and two sunbeds. The lounge area had satellite TV, WiFi which worked well enough, air conditioning in all rooms was included. Seventy seven nearby steps lead up to the main road and the tavernas and shops, or you can go by the steep lane that comes out by the church, so maybe people with walking difficulties should take this into consideration. If you have a car, the property benefits from off-road parking. The property was serviced three times a week and standards of cleanliness are high. Anti-mosquito machines and tablets are also thoughtfully provided. We had a comfortable and relaxed holiday with no problems at all in this very satisfactory property and I would highly recommend it.

It seems that Barbati Bay Apartments are open, and can be booked directly online (barbati-bay-apartments) or via booking.com or via easyjet. But there are no reviews here. Unless you look up the 56 reviews reported for Barbati Bay Apartments on Easyjet, which are the same 56 TA reviews ( latest is august 2018) shown by under Barbati BEACH (not bay) Apartments. Both Easyjet and booking.com say the apartemnts they offer are something to do with Riviera: " managed by the Riviera Barbati complex"....." in different summerhouses within the Riviera Barbati residence" . But we rang the Riviera Barbati people yesterday and they said the other sets of apartments are nothing to do with them. Meanwhile the Easyjet website shows the same pool as jet2 but jet2 describe it as La Riviera barbati seaside luxurious apartments, not "Barbati Bay Apartments". Jet2 refer to the 92 TA reviews which are up to date on TA under La Riviera Barbati Seaside Apartments. Not the older 56 reviews under Beach. Can anyone clarify which apartments are which, which are better/ cheaper etc?
