Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were lucky enough to stay in the cottage. What a magnificent place. If only we could have stayed for longer (unsurprisingly, it was booked). Only visited reception in the main hotel once, between check-in and check-out and the two ladies there were great. So friendly. If I get the opportunity to return, I will, without a moments hesitation. 10/10

The past is in the past and there it may remain. The King Robert is a modern and welcoming hotel with the Battle of Bannockburn site only a stones throw away. Worth a visit if only for a value for money meal and a drink. Has accommodation but did not use.

Great weekend for tribute act with our sons All staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Had a meal in the restaurant first night £22 allowance each lots choice all of our meals were hot, fresh and served with a smile. Rooms very clean modern style. Breakfast was buffet style - big well done to the waitress and the chef for continually topping up the hot food in smallish batches to make sure everything was fresh and beautiful soft runny fried eggs at all times ( which is difficult to find on a buffet usually) Tribute night was well organised and meal was served piping hot with all staff helping out for a faultless service. This was our first visit I will be back many more times!

Our 2nd stay for a Tribute act weekend. Loved this hotel on our first visit and just as much again, its a great fun time and the breakfast is totally outstanding. Dining and Neil Diamond / Elton John tribute on the Saturday evening was terrific as usual. Not sure when we will return but we definitely will.

We stayed for 2 nights to attend a family funeral. I booked direct and had excellent service from Kerry on reception who couldn’t have been nicer. We stayed in a family room which was spotless. Had breakfast included and were very well looked after by Sandra. The funeral lunch was held upstairs in the function room and was lovely, everything ran very smoothly. We ate in the bistro one evening and the lounge another, meals were hot and freshly cooked. I can’t in honesty give 5 stars as the hotel is dated and not situated centrally but we had a good stay and would definitely return.

This is a pretty decent three star hotel. The staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. Beds are REALLY comfortable and the rooms were very warm thankfully as it was extremely cold the weekend we visited. Showers are nice as hot and you get plenty of towels. The breakfasts we had were great and the evening meal we had was great. The hotel doesn’t look very inviting from the outside which is a shame as it’s actually perfectly nice.

Meals were great, staff were very friendly and helpful, rooms were nice and clean but could have done with king-size bed. Location was perfect, with a visit next door to the visitors center. We had a fabulous time, and are hoping to book again.

We had a wonderful 2 nights at the hotel, we would definitely stay there again. Room was clean and warm, shower was powerful, the bed was comfortable and the staff were all so friendly and welcoming, it was a pleasure to visit. We had breakfast both mornings, which was fantastic, plenty of choice and everything cooked to perfection. We dined in the hotel restaurant one evening and had a delicious meal. Could not fault any of the food. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

Lovely clean hotel , room small but nice, shower pressure was a bit low, but that was a minor issue...Breakfast was very tasty, with more than enough choice Hotel is located a couple of miles from the town Centre , which is an easy walk, or a taxi for around £7
