Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stay at this particular Premier inn on several occasions each year. With the exception of one factor we have always been more than satisfied. The problem we have is that the room heating is never warm enough from September through to May. Other than this we would rate it as Very Good

Very comfy beds, big rooms. Friendly staff. Always plenty of tea facilities at hand in reception. Large car park which is great with having a works van. Great location with the brewers fayre straight across and greggs isn't too far in the morning either.

Very comfortable rooms and the breakfasts are great, especially as I have dietary requirements that need to be met. Ashleigh was brilliant and she checked the hash browns to make sure they had no gluten. Ashleigh was really informative about what foods I could enjoy for breakfast or have as a special order. She made my gluten free toast separately to the main toaster. I was very grateful and thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast.

A bit of a mixed review: Staff- Could not fault in either the Premier Inn or the adjoining pub Hotel - I have stayed at quite a few Premier Inns. This one definitely needs a full rip out. The rendering needs painting, the carpets are past their best (especially in the corridors). The shower did not go as hot as I would like. The extractor fan over the sink constantly dropped condensation on you and the bathroom had a musty smell to it Pub- Again very dated. I worked at a Brewers Fayre 25 years ago and this looked exactly the same. Again needs a full refit. We enjoyed the food we had in the evening, the breakfast was a bit cold when we went at 8.30am Would I return, I don’t think I would.

Great disabled parking right outside reception. Then through four fire doors in a wheelchair to room 35! Silent night mattresses now not Hypnos. Utter crap. Soft and low. Wife required Diazepam after her restless night .

I’ve used Premier Inns fairly often in the past, but this stay seemed a little under par to me. The main issue was the noisy clicking of both the thermostat & the wall heater ( which also vibrated!) throughout the night, which prevented a good night’s sleep. Other than that, the environs were fairly unkempt, a little shabby. The breakfast, though under hot lights & in sturdy lidded containers , was far from hot, which was a shame. In saying all this, I still think it offers very good value for money & convenience.
