Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed three nights prior to attending a ceremony in Brighton and a wedding in Lewes. Upper Beeding gives quick access to the A27 making car journeys easy. We could not fault the accommodation which was of a high standard and the food delicious. The hosts were very friendly and we hope to have the opportunity to stay with them again (and listen to more of Ron's stories !)

Ron and Lesley were so helpful and attentive after a long walk on the Downs. As all the local pubs were not cooking , being a Sunday, they offered their dining room for a takeaway. Lovely room and nice and cool after the heatwave. Breakfast was lovely and set us up on our next walking day

I visited in August last year with a friend. We stayed for 2 nights whilst doing The South Downs Way. Ron and Leslie were lovely hosts and everything was perfect, lovely room with seats outside and a fabulous breakfast. I would definitely stay again.

Very pleasant stay when I ‘overnighted’ when walking the South Downs Way. The room was spacious and immaculately clean with a great shower room. Breakfast was great as well. The Downs View is also a short (15 mins or so) walk rom the other pubs and restaurants in Upper Beeding so in a great location also.

Leslie and Ron are warm, welcoming, and fun. The entire property is neat as a pin. My room — the Lilac Room — was very comfortable and had a large bath. The breakfast was delicious, with homemade bread and jams. I recommend this BnB if you’re walking the South Downs Way.

I’m a chauffeur and I stayed there last night (fairly last minute booking) after I dropped my clients off locally and had to collect them again today to transfer them back to Yorkshire. Firstly it’s very welcoming and immaculately clean and tidy. Met Ron briefly late on to get the keys and check in and nipped over the road to the Rising Sun pub. Got back and checked the room out properly and it has everything you need. Fab breakfast and put the work to rights with Ron before bidding farewell. Lovely place - lovely people and prices right. You won’t regret booking in here!

Very comfortable, spacious and clean room/bathroom and great breakfast. Ron and Leslie could not have been more helpful when one of our group was ill. Many thanks to them. It was perfect stop over during our SDW walk.

Great location. Easy access for the South Downs Way. Pretty village. Just beware - nowhere local to eat Sunday evenings. The village shuts down after 4pm. Rising Sun pub just yards away great food (apart from Sunday's that is!)
