What a beautiful place to stay, hosts are so helpful and the rooms were spotless, comfortable and have everything that any traveller needs. This place is better than some 5 star hotels I have stayed in. Fabulous and recommend it to anyone travelling to New Zealand

Whangaroa is a fabulous place away from the crowds. Our hosts ensured we had all we needed with the place and pool to ourselves. The local harbour provided us with a great Sunday roast dinner on our arrival and we booked an informative harbour cruise. The climb to the top rock is well worth the effort and we found a...

We have travelled extensively and frequently in New Zealand. We mostly stay in lodges and B and Bs and we could not believe our good fortune when we stayed at Waimanu Lodge. It is better than the photographs on the website and the owners are super. The bed is v.comfortable, it is immaculate, furnishings top quality and is equipped with...

A well presented and exquisite locality overlooking the picturesque Whangaroa Harbour from both the room and deck. Rooms are well presented and very comfortable catering for a small family group. Bird life in the close proximity is amazing. Highly recommended as an enjoyable and pleasant stay.

What a fantastic experience - the accommodation was superb, the view was magnificent and the hosts were certainly very obliging and helpful with giving advice in relation to tourist attractions etc in the area. This was by far the best accommodation we had in the north island of New Zealand.

My partner and 6 mths old daughter stayed at Waimanu Lodge over the last NY for a few days. The place exceeded all our expectations. The view over the harbour is nothing but stunning, the gardens are beautiful, the nights are fantastically quiet, the terrace feels very private even though you share it with the owners (who seem to not...

The website actually does a disservice to both the quality of the rooms and even the view from the more or less private terrace. Both exceed expectations. The harbour it overlooks is shockingly beautiful and a short but testing walk up to St Paul's Rock above the property offers one of the most magnificent views in the Bay of Islands....

We had a lovely time at Waimanu Lodge and can't wait to stay again. If you are looking for a private, intimate, romantic location then this is it. Loved the view and sitting in the spa just topped off a fantastic experience all round.

We stayed here 2 nights but wished we had planned for a longer stay. A delightful location with a large deck with pool and hot tub. We were the only guests and so had complete privacy. Owners are delightful and honor your privacy as well. Large unit that is well equipped and furnished so as to make you feel at...
