Hi Steve & Denise, Thank you for letting me stay at your campsite, actually your home. I loved your spot, the grounds & also the vibe you have created, but not the road haha. The meals & hospitality were top notch. So enjoyed the chats over dinners & the drinks afterwards.
I stayed in one of the snug rental tents that Steve had erected among the trees, completed with the bed made up & towels provided. At night the surrounding area was encased in fairylights in the trees. I arrived late afternoon, but Denise was still able to include me in the evening meal. All meals are great, as was the company for the communal dinners. The second night I was there a big lightning storm hit, but I stayed warm & dry all night.
I have to get back to Montenegro & stay longer in your secluded little piece of paradise. Cheers, Brent.

I have visited Camping Full Monte 2 weeks ago and I stayed there for 1 week with my girlfriend. I have really enjoyed that week especially if I compared it with our second following week in a superbusy overcrowded and noisy camping (which I think it is the standard if you visit Montenegro during July/August) The camping is right on the border between Croatia and Montenegro and it is ideal if you want to use it as a base to visit Dubrovnik area and the northern/middle part of Montenegro. To my mind, the pros of this choice are the followings: - quite and peaceful place - easygoing and very helpful hosts (Steve and Denise). Any doubts? You have just to ask! - you don't need to carry on your own tent, they offer a wide range of comfy ones and place it for you :) - if you like to talk with other guests/travellers while enjoying nice food homely cooked by Denise , you don't want to miss the dinner outside at the end of the day - you can experience the freedom to go around naked if you like or when you like - Shared facilities are pretty good (spacious and clean) - I love tomatoes and chillies grown in the camping garden :D
Things to be aware of: - It is a clothing optional camping. So people is free to go around naked. If that can offend you, it isn't the right place for you. - Initially it is a bit difficult to find. My suggestion is to check their website . We found very usefull their instructions and reference points :)
Overall it has been a very nice experience!! I definitely recommend it!

We are writing this mainly to help advertise this lovely campsite. Not because we are involved in it, or have anything to gain, beyond really wanting to support its continued existence, as this was such a lovely week off. You'll be greeted at the gate, and immediately feel at home - whether you are setting up your own tents or getting into an already fully set up tent provided by Denise and Steve. The campsite is idyllic - nice little stream, vegetable gardens, beautiful terraces, a lovely clean and totally off the grid and eco-friendly toilet, shower and kitchen block. It tends to be quite sociable and it felt almost like a group of friends by the time we left after only a week. There are hammocks, board games, lots of nice places to sit. Of course a large focus of the site is the naturist aspect, and I would only come if you are comfortable seeing naked people. No pressure to take off your own clothes though - just don't be upset at other people doing so. For those of you who are into the naturism side of things, this is a lovely place where there is none of the "should I shouldn't I" thing that sometimes happens at the larger naturist resorts... it's very friendly and within two minutes you don't think twice about it. The food is lovely - Denise spends most of her day picking the vegetables and cooking. There are two disadvantages - the distance from the sea and the lack of a swimming pool. However I think if you have your own car these are minimal issues, and we found it very easy to rent a car which Denise and Steve very kindly dropped us off picked us up from. Also fun to go on holiday and be able to just chat for hours with an intelligent couple who basically decided to take the plunge, leave the slightly stressed and frantic life of the UK and go abroad, and carve a beautiful home out of the side of a hill by sheer hard work. We are having our first child soon and we will definitely be going back next summer as it is now a safe option, hopefully with a few friends though! Montenegro as a country is fascinating and even in the face of hectic and frantic development in parts, they seem to be very focused on preserving the bits of the country that pull in the tourists, so expect beautiful scenery, and gorgeous old towns with lots of nice bars, cafes and restaurants. Think a less developed, less expensive version of Italy... However we actually only ate out once because the food on the campsite was just so good - and reasonably priced - we ate and drank for the entire week on €160 for two of us.
Another reason that would entice some people to go would be to find out a bit more about the eco/green side of living - this site is an absolute inspiration if you are interested in that side of things - with composting toilets, spring water, solar power etc... all done to such a high standard that you wonder why it's not commonplace worldwide - green living obviously doesn't have to be uncomfortable.
So if you want to be inspired, have a lovely holiday, have lots of great food at cheap prices, see a beautiful country, have nice chats, relax after a stressful year, be naked or not mind seeing naked people, are prepared to rent a car to explore properly and get to the (very nice) beaches... book now and go! Mainly so that their finances stay healthy and then we can go again next year :)

Lovely campsite just behind the Croatia-Monenegro border (difficult as not sign-posted!!).Turn left really just behind the border, up the hill, quite a long way, until you finally see a sign. Great welcome, lovely hosts, friendly guests. Some naked, some not. We and our kids (6 months, 3 years) loved it. JUst that the surrounding doesn't offer too much to stay very long. Otherwise you would love to stay and enjoy the super clean facilities (solar shower and bio-toilets), views, organic garden and joint dinners.

Hi! We went to Montenegro with a Belgian scouts group of 27. The site is located close to the border with Croatia and is surrounded by forests. We were very warmly welcomed by the host and hostess. The showers and toilets were extremely clean, there was a pleasant atmosphere, the host helped us with our barbecue, nice camping guests. Simply amazing place to go! I'll definitely return!

If you want to enjoy a peaceful and creative time with great people, this is the perfect spot ! Steve and Denis are wonderful hosts and truly inspiring in what they have achieved with their eco camp. We stayed a few nights after coming from Croatia, and this camp felt just like home after the tourist-infested places we had visited. It's also perfect for a few weeks off to recharge your batteries and relax. Highly recommended if you're craving for nature and friendly contacts.

CFM is a cracking little hideout, I am currently writing my review whilst I am staying and have another 5 days left of a 10 day stay.Dubrovnik Airport is the quickest way to get to CFM as its around 20/25 minutes by taxi from the airport and CFM sorted the transfer for me. It was seamless, in certain times the border may be quitr busy so then transfer time could be a little longer.
The CFM turning is literally 100 yards from the border and I very surprised how far it is up the hill, around 3 kilometers up it, a car is recommended but not essential as a bus runs twice a day but the times are 6.30am and 2pm from the end of the road where CFM is situated. Buses do run from Herceg Novi to the border and Denise or Steve will pick you up from the bottom of the road near the border for a couple of euro and trust me that is well worth it when you see the hill. The bus is a blue line bus and costs 1 euro and takes around 20 minutes.
The prices to eat out are excellent and very cheap in consideration to Spain. A beer costs 1.80 euro at do do,s, which has free WiFi and is easy to get to from the bus station in Herceg Novi. Pizza is good and cost around 5.50 euro for a 14 inch pizza which is very reasonable. Sandwiches are 3.40 euro and they are quite a large size, expresso 1.10 euro.
Denise and Steve are always happy to help you out and Denise has cooked every night so far since I have stayed and her food is fantastic, if you get the change to eat with these guys as I have done then go for it as her food is fantastic. Denise cooks and Steve entertains the guests. For me one of the best things I like is everyone who is eating with Denise and Steve all sit around the tables and the banter is really good as guests ask about the eco camp and everyone tells their stories.
We have had some great evenings with all sorts of different people, if you only book for one night then in my humble opinion you are missing out on the CFM atmosphere which is unique, chatting away breaks the ice and friends are very easily made.
The tent I am in is a snug in name and is quite spacious, there is a mattress in the tent with all bedding provided, I have my suitcase in the tent and I still have plenty of room without being cramped. CFM offer other size tents and the ones I have seen look great and are pretty new tents.
The toilets are spotless with zero smells, it also has urinals, showers, sinks which are all spotless. The kitchen has everything you need. Outside has seating with couches, hammock's, table and chairs so you can find a quiet spot if required.
This place really is fantastic and I have made some great friends, nudism is optional and I would say more were naturists than not but whether you are or are not, really does not matter as there is no pressure on anyone in any form. Whilst on my stay a couple tried naturism out for the first time and they loved it.
Daisy the dog is great, I took her on walks every day, the views are stunning where ever you look as its such a beautiful country. If Steve tries to talk you into visiting Kotor, then do it. The views are amazing and the old town is wonderful, a must see.
Denise and Steve organised my Taxi to and from the airport in Dubrovnik, I got very good rates and a great service, 35 euro each way. The beer at the campsite is very cheap so please give it a try, very tasty local beer.
Overall I have a great stay and will be going back next year, places like this are a must visit if you like tranquillity and great company, the hosts are fantastic and the travellers I met were very interesting indeed and I do have new friend because of Camp Full Monte.
Thanks again guys for a great stay.

We stayed at this campground for 4 nights, and it was a good location of a base for doing day trips. Steven and Denise were very welcoming and friendly hosts, and provided lots of great information on the surrounding area. The amenities were basic and very clean, the camping area itself compact and offering shade. Denise cooked on 2 of the evenings we were there and the meals were delicious. All in all, a very nice little spot to call home for a few days. Just a note to get there, you must take the first exit on the left past customs ie. about 20 meters (we missed it the first time even with a good map). Sometimes the exit can be blocked with the line of traffic leaving the country.

First time in (about 16) years on a campsite for more than 2 nights. First time on a naturist campsite ever. And I have to admit it won't be the last time. I'm not such a campsite lover but this campsite is different: small, small, people with nature interest and good maintenance. But most of all, 2 hosts with a passion for what they do and working is only one of these things.
I've indicated 'average' for location since I wasn't there by car and since public transport...

We had a fantastic 4-day stay at this wonderful, 'clothes-optional' eco-campsite in the mountains near Herceg-Novi. Denise, Steve and dog Daisy welcome you with a warm, no-nonsense feel in their luscious green, well-hidden oasis of peace&quiet. 'Back-to-basics' has a new label: Camp Full Monte!

Hi Jimbob G, We have decided to return to our old policy of being clothes optional for the entire season which this year will run from May 17th - Sept 20th. Please note we are already fully booked for the period June 21st - July 3rd. You can find more details on our official site. Just use your favourite search engine with the keywords Camp Full Monte Montenegro. I hope we will get to meet you this summer. Regards Steve
Hi Martino, Trip Advisor rules prevent me from giving you an efficient answer i.e everything you need to know is on our website but I'm not allowed to tell you the address :-( You might want to try using your favourite search engine to find it. However, I'll do my best. We are approximately 45 minutes drive from Dubrovnik Airport. Just turn left out of the airport and follow the road to the Montenegro Border. If you are coming from Dubrovnik City we are approximately 1hr 15 mins drive. Once through the Montenegro border we are no more than 5 minutes drive away. Our rates per person per night vary depending on whether you want to hire one of our tents or bring your own. We only accept payment in Euros so the price in Canadian dollars will vary according to the exchange rate. Prices start from 12 euros per person per night if you bring your own tent. I hope that helps. Kind regards Steve from Camp Full Monte)
It can be quite tricky to fully explore Montenegro without a car but not impossible. There are two buses a day that go to and from Herceg Novi - Prijevor village (5 mins walk from our campsite) The first is early in the morning and the second in the mid afternoon. Buses from Herceg Novi to the main border (about 45 mins walk from our Campsite) run approximately every hour during the daytime. herceg Novi is a transit hub and from there you can get buses to most major towns and cities in Montenegro. In addition, we often have to make trips into town and are happy to give you a lift. Likewise, most guests with cars at Camp Full Monte are willing to offer rides into town. In summary, it is possible to explore Montenegro from Camp Full Monte without a car, especially the areas in the immediate vicinity of the Boka Bay (Herceg Novi, Kotor, Perast, Tivat).
Apologies, for not answering sooner. Unprecedented bad weather in the whole region this year led us to close the campsite on the 17th September - too early for your visit. However to answer your questions for the benefit of those who may visit next year. We have a range of accommodation options too numerous to list here. Pricing options and details can be found on our website. Just Google Camp Full Monte. There are no specific rules for nudists. We are a clothing optional site so you are free to be naked 24x7. All we ask is that if you choose to remain clothed please don't make those who choose to be naked feel uncomfortable. Likewise, if you choose not to dress please don't make those who remain clothed feel uncomfortable. It's your choice and no one will care either way. Nudity is incidental to the Camp Full Monte experience not central it is therefore a perfect place for naturists/nudists with reluctant partners. The sea, and our favourite naturist beach in Montenegro is approximately 15 minutes drive from our site. Yes you can bring your own tent - again see our website for pricing details. I'm sorry we were not able to greet you at Camp Full Monte this year but we hope you had a good holiday in this beautiful country.
