Stopped for lunch today, the food and service were excellent but felt that the menu was not very comprehensive, I suppose it is better to have a restricted menu of good food than a comprehensive one of mediocre food. Would certainly visit again.

My husband and I stayed at the Griffin for 1 night on a getaway escape from London. When we arrived in the village of Yoxford it looked beautiful and The Griffin building is historical and has bags of character. We got a lovely warm welcome from the owners when we arrived and they took us on a tour of the...

The Griffin pub is Yoxford village's central hub. It's had a lot of bad press over recent years but changed hands a year ago and you need to give it a fresh chance. The new couple who run it are really committed to serving good, home cooked food and interesting beers. Regular curry nights, cooked with input from our Indian...

Had a delicious BLT sandwich for lunch at the Griffin on my way to Southwold. The owner and his partner were really nice and friendly and the service was good. We noticed the food others were having and saw steak pudding was available. The next day we decided to drive back for dinner so called ahead to book and ask...

Absolutely appalling. I took my father for a birthday meal with my partner. Upon entering the premises we were not asked whether we had booked a table and we were left to mill around awaiting some direction. We approached the bar and purchased some drinks whilst we were waiting to be seated, I must say at this point the young...

Now under new management since 2016, the pub has been refurbished and the restaurant reopened, with a wonderful chef Rickado. If you are ever passing please give us a revisit.

Were made to feel so welcome by everyone. All dishes explained to us. Lovely food and plenty of it, with offers of more if we wanted it. Will become regulars of their curry club now I am...

Went to the Griffin with my husband, daughter and son-in-law and had a really lovely evening, this was our second visit to the Griffin. The first time we went the food was very good but quiet, but this time they were busy and the atmosphere very good. The friendly barman greeted us on arrival and served our drinks and the...

Called in for a meal here last Thursday evening. Very nice meal, excellent service and good prices. The Griffin is a very old pub and the new owners are trying really hard to update it but still retain its old charm. Good luck to them. I would go back
