I was concerned when I saw the last post so immediately checked with my driver in San Pedro Sula and he has confirmed that Banana Inn has CLOSED. I do not have the reason for the closure. This hotel has been great for over-nighting in San Pedro and I am not sure of an appropriate replacement. I normally would use...

Unfortunately not a review. Like Theresa B we have been trying to book this hotel for weeks now. The hotel was recommended by friends who live in Honduras, when I reported back to them that we had been unable to contact them. The friends advised me that the rumour is that the Hotel owners refused to pay protection money and...

The Banana Inn is a great little hotel. I stayed there with a mission team for a couple days and the staff bent over backwards to help to take care of us and our early schedule. The rooms were extremely clean and were basic but exactly what we needed. The a.c's were well maintained and that helped keep us all...

I have tried to contact the banana multiple times by the email from their website but my mail is repeatedly rejected. I have also called but there is no answer. There seems no other way to reach this hotel. We would like to book a room for may 24 but is the hotel still open?

I travel a great deal in Central America for work. One of my favorite hotels is the Banana Inn in La Lima. Close to the San Pedro Airport - a five minute taxi. Very nice, clean rooms, in the refurbished old administration building of United Fruit Co. Helpful, pleasant staff. Seemed quite safe and secure. Also, at about $60 a...

I've stayed at Banana Inn a number of times on my travels through this area of Honduras. First of all it is very close to the airport and only takes a short drive to get to. The hotel itself is roomy, very clean, has internet, a pool(which I've sadly never used, but with the heat in SPS I could see...

This is a great hotel about 5 minutes from San Pedro Airport. The rooms are very clean, with hot water and free wifi. The swimming pool is clean and clear. It certainly meets all the standards of any US hotel with clear filtered water. I would recommend this hotel to anyone needing a place to stay before or after a...

We were a group of about two dozen on a trip around the North Coast of Honduras. We stayed at the Banana Inn the night of our arrival at the San Pedro Sula airport, and again for the last two nights of our trip. The hotel is next to the old United Fruit Company residential zone and is, itself, a...
