Having read the reviews we are slightly apprehensive but were not disappointed the entertainment for the children is the best I have seen and made so by Captain Crumble who just has an amazing way with both children and adults alike a real gem of Penstowe don't let him leave! We want to come back next year with friends. Okay... More

We live locally so didn't use the accommodation. We decided to eat at penstowe after hearing good things from friends, the menu isn't huge but that isn't always a bad thing as I take ages to decide! An addition of a good curry to the menu would be nice. There seem to be lots of young waiters and waitresses but they... More

We stayed at Penstowe 10th October - 14th October and chose the Manor Lodge Premier which sleeps 7 and has the amazing hot tub! We paid £295.00 for 4 nights. We arrived early so waited in the bar with a drink whilst our lodge was getting cleaned, we had to collect our keys from the swimming pool reception which I... More

After hearing Captain Crumble has moved, we decided to try out Penstowe Manor where he is now based. We absolutely loved our accommodation- it was like a mini house! The beds were surprisingly warm and comfy, and we had a gorgeous view of the fields. The cabaret was okay, but no one can beat Mr Crumble. Very child friendly, lovely... More

We stayed for 7 nights 10 September. Penstock park is a pleasant park with nice Pool, a friendly entertainment venue and good sports facilities, however be warned the accommodation, we stayed in coombe 17 was atrocious. The bedding and pillows were filthy. Spare bedspread in cupboard looked like it had been used as a dogs bed. The double bed Had... More

Upon entering the bungalow, immediately we were greeted by the smell of damp and saw the state of the kitchen, food was sprayed up the wall by the cooker.  It was a disgusting sight and smell. Continued on to see: a hole in a door, ill fitted carpets, dirty walls and skirting, dirty bedsheets, broken refrigerator, ill fitting curtains, pealing... More

Ok so I arrived here filled with dread due to all the negative reviews I had read on here. Yes it's an old park that's in need of some updating. The lodge I stayed in was mostly clean, however there was a damp smell when we first arrived, most noticeable in my daughter's room. I had to ask them to... More

Stayed for a week 3rd September with my partner. On arrival reception staff very friendly and helpful. Chalet was nice and had everything we needed, (pots, pans, iron, ironing board etc) but I am pleased I read the reviews before going as took febreeze and candles as the musty smell is horrendous. Apart from that comfortable. The evening entertainment was... More
