We chose the Tally Ho because of its good central location, allowing visits to the many scenic towns, villages and countryside in the area. On arrival we were greeted by a friendly smile and shown to our room, this turned out to be immaculate and well looked after, so much so that it appeared brand new, this was topped by...

We had a really nice meal at the Tally Ho a couple of weeks ago. We both chose off the set menu, which at 2 courses for £12.50 was cracking value, especially as that included the offer of a bottle of wine for £10. My husband had pidgeon with black pudding to start, and I had piri piri prawns, so...

Stayed one night following a visit to the Shelsley Hill climb venue for an event organised by the Morgan Sports Car Club. No complaints at all, the room was fine, clean, comfortable bed and the bathroom was also nice and clean with a very good shower. The welcome was friendly and very courteous. Nice bar area and a separate dining...

Stayed at the Tally Ho for two nights and was really impressed. Nice friendly welcome, plenty of on-site parking. Nice spacious bedroom with a great power shower. Separate entrance for the rooms. Surprised at the lack of noise being above a pub and I was at the front above the car park. Room had breakfast included which was substantial. I...

We stayed the night in the tally Ho inn for a relaxing night away and it was just that. We went straight into the bar for a drink on arrival and was greeted with the lovely bar staff who made us feel very welcome. Decided to eat there and wasn't disappointed, it was a lovely meal sitting in the conservatory...

This is a friendly pub with hotel facilities added more recently. The rooms are comfortable and clean, and ours had a superb view. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the generous breakfast and evening meals. On the downside: Internet in the rooms a bit intermittent. It might be an idea to add some really "lighter bites" to the...

My colleagues and I stayed here for a week, and if the Tally-Ho can upgrade the quality of their food it will be a perfect stay. The location is stunning, with views to the west over 15 miles of countryside to the Brecon Beacons. The building dates back to the 14th Century, its thick, stone walls, low ceiling, and flagstone...

Firstly the staff and service were excellent but some of the hotel details not so. We booked for 3 nights but checked out after the first night. The beds are just about wide enough for two people but the quilts for them the same size and meant that one or the other were pretty much uncovered during the nights. I...
