Relaxed, independent (formerly 4 Star "Visit England") bed and breakfast in a Grade II Listed house in the centre of a friendly Somerset village, on direct bus route to Bath and Wells (just 2.5 miles to Wells, the smallest cathedral city in England). The village pub 2 mins. walk serves home cooked meals. Bedrooms have large Freeview TV, hot drinks tray with biscuits, complimentary toiletries, tissues & hairdryer, luggage racks. Free superfast WiFi. In the area you can enjoy walking in the Mendip Hills, cycling on the Somerset Levels, shopping at Clarks Outlet Village, many National Trust properties and gardens. Val is such a lovely person and really takes care to look after all of her guests. Lovely old house in Croscombe, very near Wells and Glastonbury, not far to Bath or Bristol. The breakfast is amazing and beautifully and freshly cooked, piping hot and plenty of it. The bed was very comfortable, tea making in room etc. Bathroom just across the landing. Lovely and quiet. Rare to find a very special place like this. It's street parking - but that's fine as there are private roads with no yellow lines very nearby.

We needed a B&B when we went to see family nearby, and we received a warm welcome. The service was fantastic and Val was very a very considerate host. Chocolates were put on our pillow every night and the garden is a lovely area where we could relax. Had a few issues with the parking (received a complaint on Facebook) but this was easily sorted. There is sometimes space on the driveway, otherwise, there is street parking available. My fiancée and I really enjoyed our stay that we have rebooked again.

Why you ask such a title? Clean,Clean and clean! Breakfast freshly cooked as you want it, served with a smile. (Yes homemade full of flavour jam sums up the offering and in proper jars, also available as take home gifts. Location -close to great village pub for that English village Pub evening meal with excellent varied specials. Value- What price (actually very reasonable) do you put on a smile and warm welcome that includes a slice of homemade cake. Bright and airy rooms of course and did I mention - clean! Flexible- late booking - no problem - there is always cake! In three years I tried the rest ( Val occasionally has her own holiday) but very regularly stayed at the best- Paradise House whenever possible. Local knowledge in abundance and ideal location on a direct bus route to the lovely city of Wells. This really is B&B at its best! Used for business but so good I had to take the wife for a weekend -who - then understood why I had revised my breakfast expectations at home- still hoping on that one! Enjoy your visit- try to fit in - Wookey Hole, Cheddar Gorge, Wells Cathedral, Yeovil Fleet Air Arm Museum, Haynes motor museum, Many local pubs and Somerset Cider…

Our third visit to this B&B so need I say more. If you are looking for good accomodation central to places to visit, a good choice of breakfast food and a warm welcome with tea and cake on arrival then look no further.

Very good place to stay. Personal and friendly and we were well looked after. The breakfasts are wonderful. Recommend staying there if you are visiting Wells or the surrounding area which has a lot of old world charm.

Stayed 2 nights as base to visit Glastonbury town and surrounding areas Paradise Is approx 15 min drive to Glastonbury less to Wells about 1 hour to Stonehenge so was ideal base In a scenic quiet village with a pub that serves really good quality food ...The accommodation was exceptional clean comfortable with all the facilities that you will need comfy bed with crisp cotton sheets ensuite with toiletries included if needed ..soft towels ..tea coffee facilities plenty of hanging and drawer space ..Use of lounge to read or play board games ECT.. Val well... what a lovely friendly lady very accommodating and knowledgeable lots of information on Well and places to visit even on the rainy days . Breakfast was wonderful Val does amazing scrambled egg .Full english with cerals fresh fruit yogurt toast and Vals homemade jam (bought some for home ) so lots of choice to keep you going .. I have no hesitation on recommending Paradise house cost was £80 per night for double Inc breakfast . With hopes to return in the not so distant future .…

Val is a great host, this is the third time I have stayed at Paradise House, and would definitely stay again. Beautiful clean and comfortable accommodation. Great breakfast whether full Engish or continental. Homemade Jam and marmalade available which you can buy to bring home.

My Mum and I spent 9 nights at Paradise House. It was our first time in the area. We found the B and B comfortable with lovely home cooked breakfasts. Val looked after us very well and her knowledge of the local area was helpful too. Would certainly recommend Paradise House.

At 7 months pregnant we decided to stay at a B&B rather than camp at this year's Glastonbury. Val was so accomodating and gave us a delicious cooked breakfast each morning at a time that suited us. We stayed in the twin room and beds were very comfortable. Would highly recommend.
