We visited the Fazenda with a large group of friends all whom had children. This Fazenda is an old coffee farm which has been restored beautifully. You can sleep over, or just do a day trip. The main building is full of history and artefacts and there are sofas everywhere to relax in and absorb the atmosphere. The Fazenda offer...

I am writing this review for non-Brazilians, but hotel fazendas are a very Brazilian experience! You stay at a place that is generally remote, you eat all of your meals there, and they provide all of the entertainment. The price is generally high, but everything except drinks is included. This hotel fazenda is located only 2 hours outside of Rio...

“We stayed in Casa Grande 2 - the Getúlio Vargas suite. It's spacious but a little oddly laid out. The view from there is amazing. Some rooms in the hotel are huge and others are more cramped - so check carefully when you reserve. Many rooms will work for families.”
