Cove Cottage is a little piece of Heaven a truly Magical place. The View from the bedroom is amazing. The gardens so lovely and Sue and John are wonderful hosts. We spotted a Humpback & Minky Whale from our room. So peaceful & tranquil.

Spent 3 nights at Cove Cottage at the end of June. Can honestly say it was one of the most wonderful places we’ve every stayed. Sue and John are amazing hosts and at once made us feel at home. They have a great knowledge of the local places of interest and please take up their advice on places to eat! The house is lovely, the room luxurious and oh my, the views from the room and garden are superb. The south west coast path is literally at the end of the garden and it’s a great base to explore the peninsula either by foot or by car. The Minack is a short drive as is my newest favourite eating place Newlyn. But don’t plan to rush around...the house and it’s garden path alongside the stream will captivate you and you won’t want to leave. Reading through the visitor book you can see that people keep returning to Cove Cottage year after year. I strongly suspect we will be joining them.

For the past 5 years we have spent a week at Cove Cottage and we will be returning there again next year. The cottage is located down a narrow country lane and its garden runs down to the sea. It is a place of peace and tranquility and beauty. Sue and John White are wonderful hosts and great informants on life in this quiet part of Cornwall. Cove Cottage is ideal as a base for some of the characteristic activities, such as rambling, that attract people to Cornwall. The coastal path can be joined at the bottom of their garden and you can enjoy great views of the sea and cliffs if you choose to walk. The Minack Theatre, with its dramatic cliffside location overlooking the sea is within walking distance from Cove Cottage or can be reached by road within 15 minutes. The major schools of late nineteenth and early twentieth century British landscape painting were based in Lamorna and Newlyn, villages along the coastal path from Cove Cottage, and use the surrounding countryside as their inspiration, And some of these paintings can be seen in Penzance and Newlyn. There are also some excellent restaurants within easy reach of the cottage and the list that the Whites provide has remained our guide for enjoying good food and especially fresh seafood. All reviews of Cove Cottage are excellent and we agree with what they say. If you want to experience Cornwall at its best, this is the place to stay!

The beautiful suite has the entire second floor and looks out onto the spectacular sea at the end of their lovely garden. We can't compliment the owners enough. If you're an American, don't worry as you leave the main road and drive town narrower and narrower lanes. You can't find a more special place to stay and breakfasts are fabulous!

Had a wonderful 2 nights here, such a shame we didn't have more time to spend. The cottage is beautiful as is the garden, leading down to the sea. Sue and John were very welcoming, not forgetting Sandy the little golden spaniel. She ran out to greet us every time we arrived back from a day out, loved her! The location is great, we visited a good few places in the two days we were here including Mousehole, the Minnak Theatre, Lands End and St Michael's Mount. It is the kind of place you dream of escaping the city to. Packing up your job, leaving London and moving to the sea. Fresh air, no people, no noise, greenery everywhere. Absolutely beautiful. We are in awe of the wonderful life you have built here, and can only thank you for opening up your home so that others can enjoy it just as much! Rebecca & Tom
