Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Friendly staff, clean and tidy site and great remote location. Bathrooms and wash up facilities were clean and easily accessible. Beautiful scenery around with friendly alpacas! Easy to locate and accessible to the lakes and surrounding countryside.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. The site was extremely clean and the facilities were spot on. They even helped resolve a problem I had with my caravan. I’ll definitely be going back to use the campsite. I stayed in a fully maintained spot with a hot tub.

Lovely site and friendly staff. Toilet and shower facilities were clean and warm. Torch needed at night. You do need some form of transport to visit local villages. Site was quiet and on a clear day you could see the Solway Firth. Particularly enjoyed meeting Maggie, Marshmallow and Calamity 😊

We have just returned from a weekend at Wallace Lane Farm and we loved it! We stayed on one of the hard standing hot tub caravan pitches. Firstly, the location of the site is brilliant, if your a keen walker you will love it as it’s surrounded by miles and miles of countryside. Alternatively, if you’re looking for somewhere out of the hustle and bustle this site is for you! There are a couple of pubs in the local area and it’s not too far for visiting places such as Penrith or Keswick. Upon arrival we checked in and were greeted by Rob and Emma, both very friendly and welcoming. Rob showed us to our pitch and explained how to work the hot tub. The reception office is also a shop which sells everything you could think of, including freshly laid eggs which were beautiful! The hot tub on your caravan pitch is a lovely touch and something different that not many sites offer. The area where the hot tub is was very clean and well kept. The tubs are treated daily with the relevant chemicals. The only downside is there is no where to put your towels / dressing gowns when it’s raining but this isn’t a massive issue, we managed. The onsite facilities were great, very clean and well kept. The showers are very spacious and warm and they are included in the price too! which is a bonus as a lot of touring sites you have to pay extra for the showers. The toilets and pot wash areas were all very clean. There’s a laundry room with two washing machines and dryers in that you can use for a small charge too. The only thing we agreed could be improved is the lighting at night. There are no lights when walking over the to shower block which was abit tricky. Maybe some little solar lights in the grass edge along the path to the shower block would be useful. This isn’t something that would stop up returning, it’s just our opinion :) We will definitely return and aim to do so in the summer months.

We had a lovely short break in our motorhome, at Wallace Lane. The gentleman that met us was very kind and helpful, showing us to our pitch, and explaining the site layout. The site was beautifully kept. The toilet block was immaculate, with lovely heated towel rails by the showers. The site also has a nice little shop. I would thoroughly recommend staying here.

We had a fabulous stay over new year! The owners were so lovely, very dog friendly. We loved the fairy glen and went down there with the dogs to welcome in the new year. It was extra special because it was the last holiday we had with one of our doggies. And it was the perfect setting. Beautiful uninterrupted scenery, with plenty of space on each pitch. I’m very impressed and would love to return and pitch up next to the hot tub. Thanks for creating such a special place, it has jumped to 1st place on our favourites list.

Really lovely , we had our own hot tub on our touring pitch. Stayed for two nights. Toilets need a little work it was like a hostel shower block. Needs work to make it look finished. Friendly staff and well stocked shop. The site was quiet and pitches nice size.

This is ‘how to do a campsite’ A friendly welcome, shown to our pitch, the facilities all explained to us and the hot tub controls described. The facilities were immaculate, warm, tidy and very functional. Hot water and strong showers. There is a full kitchen if you don’t have your own, freezers for campers use. Everything has been thought of. Even a well stocked little shop. Could not ask for more.

Room Tip: Quite a steep, short, walk to the facility block from the hot tub pitches should be noted.

We took our camper van and booked a pitch with a hot tub . Wow , what a beautiful place ! We were shown to our pitch and how to operate tub . The hot tub was amazing, we are already planning to return later in the summertime. The shower block is modern and clean with a kitchen area to wash up and fridge/freezer and lockers for any storage. The weather was very windy and rain but we were cosy once set up . Can’t wait to return!
