Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Wonderful place, staff so friendly, facilities excellent. Nice drive out to Keswick only 30 minutes. We booked the Hot Tub pitch, nice private fence around plus table and chairs in encloser, will be wonderful when we return in June.

Booked the Treehouse Cabin for a mid week birthday get away for myself, partner and two dogs. The lodge was lovely with a rustic vibe. Plenty of towels, lovely clean bedding and all the basics you need for a few nights away. Everything was just so easy. From checking in, getting more wood for the fire, hiring a fire pit (highly recommended - marshmallows available in the onsite store but 20p for a wooden skewer was a little steep!) and the hot tub which was ready to go on arrival was a nice bonus. However, what really made it was how lovely all the staff were. There were genuine smiles whenever I walked in reception and nothing was too much hassle! Even during a wind related power cut (only for an hour or two) everyone still had smiles and were happy to sort out other issues (ours being a cloudy hot tub … our own fault!). My only suggestion would be for a few more bin bags to be provided (we only got one provided for four nights, so we purchased more at the on site shop) and maybe clearer instructions around recycling! We unfortunately filled up the one provided bin bag with mixed waste before realising that there were separate bins for glass etc! We might have missed the signs/instructions in the welcome book though! Overall it was a lovely relaxing getaway. Quiet. Chilled. Clean. Friendly. Comfy.

We stayed in our own tourer, but the service we received from the staff was second to none. Unfortunately we stayed when storm Debbie was visiting so the weather was very wet and wild, but it didn't stop us enjoying our time away. Infact we have just booked two lodges for next year for my 60th. The site is easy to get to with decent roads. Wigton is a typical market town with a coop and Lidl and Caldbeck has a very friendly public house which is dog friendly. Definitely worth visiting this site has everything from camping to glamping and many with hot tubs and lots of walks for dogs and even a fairy glade. Definitely 10 out of 10, shame we have to leave.

We stayed in the kestrel cabin it was very clean and fitted our needs well, plenty of space and everything you could need. The camp was quiet even when busy. And the hot tubs are great. A lovely relaxing weekend. You are slightly out of the lakes but in my opinion it was just as beautiful

We went in our caravan, the sites are so well kept, immaculate toilets/showers. Shop on site is stocked well and so handy. Nothing is ever any bother for anyone that works there. John the owner has a mass knowledge of so many things, from motorbikes, caravans, tents, giving recommendations of places to go and so much more. Such a great guy and his wife is lovely as well. Can't say anything negative about this park. We gmhave been going now for over 5 years and it's my favourite place to go. So relaxing with stunning sunsets. 20 minutes to Carlisle and you have, penrith and other parts of the lake district so close. Highly recommend visiting wallace lane

Lovely and warm lodges with Plenty of towels and a very good, spacious shower which is important. Quiet and scenic location with a well stocked shop and well maintained grounds and open spaces. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. The Hot tub was exceptional very clean and ready to use on arrival no hanging about waiting for it to warm up. Lovely Lodge tucked away in the middle of nowhere with a hot tub. Family run business, everyone super friendly it even had a small shop on site for essentials. Great value. Had lots of little extras like towels, handsoap, washing up liquid, shampoo, tea, coffee, biscuits. The guest book had all the info you needed to go exploring during your stay. Recommend the oddfellows pub and the whinfell go ape. Cat bells begineers mountian and aira force waterfalls. There was soo much to do we ran out of time! Wallace lane farm great base for exploring!

We were recieved by fantastic hosts who were knowledgeable and friendly. The site was extremely peaceful and provided great walking trails with open views all around. The facilities were spotless. We didn't mind the unisex shower facilities personally, however the toilets were separate. We will definitely be returning next year. Thanks to Nicky and the crew.. 🌞👏👍

From the beginning, our experience was great. Being greeted at reception was amazing, to know faces around camp that we could go to should we have any issues was excellent. We were recommend places to go nearby and took it up and it was lovely! The Willow Lodge was very warm and cosy. Lovely big sofa with a Smart TV! Remember to bring your Netflix login!🤝 A fire place which made us nice and warm, a porch that we could sit out on (Maybe not in October), and a lovely, big, hot tub! We used the hot tub every single day we were there and it was excellent. The bed was very comfy, shower was excellent (don’t stay in too long or you could be having a bath!). Plenty of kitchen space, big fridge-freezer, plenty of dishes and cutlery for eating with. The best part for us was the quiet location. Very out-of-the-way which was great at nighttime, especially with the 11pm curfew on noise. One piece of constructive criticism is I would maybe have a plumber come and look at the shower drain, as we had to be very quick in the shower as the drain wasn’t very good at, well, draining… But other than that small issue, it was excellent. 5 stars!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Met by the host on a cold and dark evening with a cheery smile and made very welcome to the site. The cabin was all we could of asked for. Log burner already set up and ready to go. The hot tub was up to temperature and ready for the start of a chilled and relaxing weekend. Loved it so much we've booked up for next year and really looking forward to it.
