Quick summary, we all slept bad. Not that beds are bad, they are nice with nice bedding but the walls are so thin so you here everything from your neighbors. All doors are shut with a key and you wake up all the time as soon as one goes to bathroom as the opening and closing is very loud. (Everyone... More

We stayed here one night while walking the the Haute Route. Given so many positive reviews, I think something must be going on with the management just now, since our experience was quite different. We and some other guests were charged the full amount although a deposit had already been taken (unfortunately, this was not yet showing up in my... More

We stayed here on our Haute Route. We were demi pension but there was some confusion over our booking and we ended up paying for the evening meal and claiming back the money on return to the UK. This was a shame, becauase this was probably the best hotel of our tour. Our room was good and ensuite. Meal was... More

Stayed for 1 night on the Haute Route and really liked it. The room was very comfortable, Yvette couldn't be more helpful, very hospitable and informative about the trek and the locality. Also help that it is easy to find as you enter the village. I would definitely recommend it.

The hotel is really easy to get to both by train from Martigny, and by cable car/ bus from Verbier. The staff are really nice, and were very helpful, and very kindly gave us a room with an ensuite bathroom when we had booked one with shared bathroom, and were helpful with our early check-in requests. The beds were comfortable... More

Little but a very clean room with a nice bathroom. It is definitely cheaper than Verbier and at the walkable distance to the ski lifts. We had just a mixed feeling about the breakfast, it was supposed to be served at 8 am and we had to wait for it for at least 20 min to get it. Well, it... More

We ate dinner here on the way up to Verbier, with no prior knowledge (we just saw it and thought it looked nice) and had a truly gourmet experience, with excellent service. We chose two things that are really good in the Lake District, where we live, and were stunned to find they were almost better! A starter of what... More

My friend and I stayed here for a weekend in Verbier and it exceeded our expectations in terms of location (an easy 5min walk to cable car straight to slopes) and comfort. As a cheaper alternative to Verber I would recommend this place and go back without hesitation. Our room was clean, comfortable and spacious (Pigalle- Queen) - plus at... More

Pros's - clean rooms, lovely staff, especially the manager Yvette - great location for access from the train station & for lift up to Verbier ski area. Very much cheaper than Verbier ! Con's - rooms cold even with heaters up full, 5 nite stay no towel change & nowhere to dry them (friends stayed 7 nites & no towel... More

I recently stayed for six nights in the 4-bed dormitory. There seem to be limited low cost choices for solo travelers in Verbier, so the decision to stay at Le Chable worked very well for me given how expensive Verbier is during the high season. The hotel location is great, literally 5-10 minutes walk from the train station to Le... More
