Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a disappointment especially given the cost! The rooms are very outdated and the bed is probably one of the worst I have slept in. They could do with investing in some decent pillows instead of the almost flat and poor quality ones they currently have. Likewise some new linen would go down well. The room was very spacious and spotless and clean but the bathroom had a fusty smell. Breakfast was plentiful and at €10 euros pretty reasonable. However we were charged for wifi! Who charges for wifi these days really! Won’t be going back.

I didn't like the fact that they don't take card payments, but that's down to personal preference. It was pretty great otherwise. During our visit they were refurbishing some of the outdoors spaces. The area where it is set up is lovely. Very pretty buildings, lots of nature, really comfy rooms that are clean and spacious (and decorated with taste) and really good breakfast buffet with plenty of choice: pastries, toast, cheeses, hams, cereal and lots more. It is also very close to town (10 min walking), to restaurants and to the lake. Great stay!

Not much good to say about this place: The picture of the property did not match what we got The location of the rental office is not advertised There was no continental breakfast as advertised There is no internet The AC is downstairs, the beds are upstairs. Cold air does not rise. The temp upstairs was about 40 plus degrees. The host did not put on the AC before we arrived, so we had to carry the mattress downstairs and sleep on the floor. They had a dishwasher but provided no soap. Had clothes dryer but no soap No dish soap There are no fans so it was very hot They had no dish towels They did not have any trash bags other than the one in the trash can so we could not replace the trash bags The property was very expensive Other than this the unit is fairly new. We will never stay here again and do not you recommend that you do either.

First I must say I was very confused about the name as we stopped here but it was called Les Jardins de L'Ermitage not Le Cles du Verdon however taking that point aside what a lovely place to stop at. The room was very nicely laid out and the breakfast area were both a delightful experience. Breakfast was also nicely set out and very good. It's a short walk back to the centre of Salles sur Verdon passing a small supermarket on the way. The village is not large but has quite a few very pleasant restaurants and cafes it also has a tourist information centre which was useful. It’s a short walk downhill from the village centre to the lakeside. You can drive down to the lakeside however finding a car parking space may be difficult. The residence is ideally located to access the Gorges de Verdon, Europe's Grand Canyon, the main reason for us stopping there and also access to the lake for a swim or enjoy the paddle boats. We really enjoyed our stay including the trip around the gorges.

I been with my friend as they told me that I absolutely had to saw it...and then once I’ve been there I understood why! Is actually a big lake with a river just between the mountains and the view is amazing. I recommend to take the pedalò but if youjust want to enjoy the view and relax you have the opinions of the electronic boat. The water is really cold is like 14-15 degrees. But it absolutely deserve to be seen...

We spent one night here, should have stayed longer. A beautiful place with a very sweet host, Sophie. This is close to the special Gorges du Verdon and makes this a perfect base camp. The breakfast was plentiful and very tasteful, with some homemade ingredients.

Sophie, the host, is so sweet, kind and helpful in every way! She helped us with suggestions and directions. The freshly home-made breakfast, prepared daily by Sophie herself is spectacularly laid and divine. One can feel that it is prepared with passion! The place is wonderful and the rooms are very spacious and clean!!

My husband and I booked this hotel for 1 night during our honeymoon. The owner, Sophie, unfortunately cancelled our reservation the day prior stating that she had double booked. We had booked our reservation months prior and even offered a credit card for guarantee. Sophie said she didn't need it and would 'remember.' The owner did briefly apologize but that was somewhat irrelevant to us at that point. We had to scramble to find a room anywhere in the region. I would highly recommend NOT staying here if you want the peace of mind that you will actually have a room on the day you arrive. It's just not worth the risk when there are plenty of other well reviewed B&Bs in the region.

We had a wonderful time at the Verdon Gorge and this was in no small part to the hospitable welcome we received from Sophie at Les Clés du Verdon. We stayed 3 nights and would highly recommend this to anyone planning a trip to the area. The room was perfect, breakfast was served in the garden right outside our room and there is excellent parking on site. Sophie also recommended places we could visit in the region for both sightseeing and dining. Before we travelled we thought we had made a good choice. Now we know we could not have chosen a better place to stay!!”

We can't say enough good things about this wonderful B&B. We came to see "The Grand Canyon of France" and were not disappointed. The drive is stunning. We had planned to do a hike but did not have enough time before heading to our next destination. This is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy all the the area has to offer. Sophie is a wonderful hostess and has done an outstanding job decorating the rooms. Do visit and for more than 2 nights:)
