A delightful second stay at Chateau Mont d’onel, this time we experienced a night in one of the gîtes, it exceeded my expectations, very luxurious, we spent a very relaxing night just reading, which is unusual for us, the atmosphere of the gîte is very tranquil, we were sad to leave. Thank you Carl & Tiffany for a lovely stay

I cannot recommend this Chateau B&B highly enough. The accommodation is first rate, the setting is beautiful, and the hosts exceed all expectations in terms of customer satisfaction. The extensive grounds and outdoor heated swimming pool, along with free cycle loan, tennis court, mean you can wander, laze, or exercise, as you wish. The hosts are available when you need them for advice on where to visit and assistance with restaurant booking and wine tasting visits, but never intrusive. All this in an exquisite part of France. We spent 5 nights and will definitely be repeating our experience.

My wife and I have just come back from one of the loveliest breaks we have ever had, prompting my first ever Tripadvisor review! Mont_d_Onel was a truly excellent place to have spent our 20th wedding anniversary. Everything about the trip worked perfectly, the Chateau is an easy 20 minute drive from Bergerac airport, the Chateau settings and facilities are stunning and the team that run the hotel are genuinely amazing (special mention to Carl and Tiff). Nothing was too much trouble with the atmosphere warm, friendly and also unobtrusive, which generates such a relaxing atmosphere for all the guests. We were aided with restaurant recommendations and bookings as well as tips for nice walks and places to visit. Our visit covered 5 days, far too short and we will most certainly be returning!

I just spent 2 nights in the B&B after a hectic stay in Sarlat. What a delight to find a quiet and well managed property. The facilities are amazing, great large rooms, very nice swimming pool and quiet place to rest and enjoy afternoons after some visits in the region. Magnifique gite, a recommander absolument pour ceux qui recherchent un luxe rafine et du calme.

What a hidden gem!! This gorgeous Chateau sits high up overlooking the small village below and once you reach the top via the winding drive and it comes into view, you realise how stunning this place is. The peacefulness and tranquil setting are the first things that you notice as you step into the grounds as well as the immaculate gardens and smell of lavender. Carl,Tiffany and their team are the most welcoming, hospitable people we have come across in any hotel and the whole experience was truly a credit to their wonderful personalties and hard work. We visited in July 2020 and felt truly safe throughout our stay. The entire place is spotlessly clean, hand sanitisers / anti bac sprays are readily available throughout all areas including the pool area, eating areas etc. The usual buffet breakfast has been adapted and you can now choose to have your breakfast delivered to your table at many spots around the hotel, which felt really special. We had a large room in the chateau, with an amazing HUGE bathroom and all facilities were really top class. The bed and pillows, I have to give special mention to, were beyond luxury, absolutely dreamy! There is a beautiful private wooded walk down to the small village where there are a couple of lovely restaurants, but you would need a car or book a taxi to get further afield to the other fabulous restaurants that are dotted around in the nearby villages. Carl kindly recommended and booked us in at some of his favourites and they did not disappoint. Carl showed us a couple of the Gites on site and they are also amazing, decorated to a high spec with all the facilities you would need for a self catering break. I can't recommend Chateau Mont-d'Onel enough, we all thoroughly fell in love with it. We are already planning our return trip!
