The room is nice, clean and spacious for four of us with the terrace where we can chill and relax since the weather was really nice. We booked all inclusive package which included breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food and dessert are all good and the manager on duty came to check on us and welcome us really well. The Onsen was also very nice. It decorated in Japanese style. There was nobody using it when we went there, so we enjoy it all by ourselves.

I went there with my family. We booked the family room that provided 4 bed++and the each one with Yukata. We were really enjoy the moment. After we checked in, We're going to the onsen that separated lady and men.I would recommend.
For dinner, if you don't want to go anywhere else. You can dining at Mee | Zü | Nam enjoy BBQ and hot sake.but the price is pretty high for mine opinion. You can ask staffs for going to dining at Ban Mon Muan next door is more cheaper. You can walk for 5-10 minutes.
And for the breakfast is pretty good. The hotel provides many choices for a la carte.

Stayed here in April, amazed at the effort to recreate the authenticity of a Japanese onsen ryokan. From the raised platform tatami floored rooms with mochi & tea set, the yukata for guests to wear in the resort, the exquisite gardens with carp-filled streams, ponds, flocks of mandarina ducks, to the hot spring onsen itself with indoor & outdoor sections.
The mineral water is pumped up from beneath the resort.
We got the room with a private onsen bathtub on the terrace. But the public onsen is better.
Breakfast is a Japanese set with buffet of side dishes.
Staff were very helpful and friendly, especially with photo taking.
In April the weather at night was chilly, around below 20C, but the staff said it can go down to 7-8 C during the cold season.
Mon Cham is about an hour's drive from down town Chiang Mai.

I stay in Onsen@Moncham with my family. The hotel is Japanese style in which will make you surprise that there is an Onsen in Chiangmai (Thailand). The staffs are very nice and helpful.

The room is also in Japanese style with Onsen inside (optional room type). I recommend to book the normal room and use Public Onsen in which better with using natural Hot Spring.

The facilities in the bedroom looks nice but quite old. The bathroom should be renovated for better impression.

Recommend to book the room before in winter period (Dec-Jan) due to popular among Thai people are tentative be full booked since 3-4 months in advance.

Breakfast’s raw material is of high quality but certain choices are not available. In turn, dinner’s 2.5k beef comes in as ordinary quality with extraordinary price.

Resort is mostly man-built so it lacks of natural beauty. Service and room are worth visit but the restaurant part makes the stay not worth 7k per night.

The rooms were stunning and we felt very well taken care of. We were on our honeymoon, and my wife and I found the entire stay to be incredibly relaxing and comfortable. We stayed for 3 nights and 4 days. As I said, the rooms were very comfortable, the food was delectable and the view was dazzling. We felt like we were transported out of Chiang Mai and onto a Japanese hillscape. We would highly recommend for a couple to have a romantic and intimate excursion.

I do want to revisit the food as it really was a treat. We had a delicious Japanese style pork grill out on our second night there and while we were eating we saw another couple enjoying a Wagyu beef meal. What caught our eyes was that the chef was cooking a plate of sliced Wagyu beef with a blowtorch and it looked and smelled amazing. The entire restaurant was crackling with the smell of the beef. We immediately asked to try this meal set for the next night. And we were not disappointed. Not only the did the staff go the extra mile by setting up our table with roses and scented candles as they knew we were on our honeymoon but the food was simply amazing. There were three courses in this special Wagyu beef set. The first was a steak that was cooked to perfection with some delicious, fresh vegetables and a red wine sauce that was to die for. Following that was the awesome blowtorch spectacle but the meal itself outshone the spectacle. The crackline beef was served with rice and eggs in a delicious Gyu Don, two plates, one for each of us. Same with the steak. Finally, for the third course we had the same Wagyu beef in a Yahiniku style Japanes grill that the server grilled for us at our table. Served with rice, Miso soup, edamame and a whole lot veggies. This was a treat we will not soon forget.

And the grounds, there is a beautiful duck pond surrounded by a serene Japanese garden. Once again, as we were walking through the garden, we felt transported to another world. It helped that we were enjoying our complimentary Japanese robes that we could wear on their property. It took a lot of self control to leave these comfortable robes behind when we left, but we were good guests. I promise! Overall, it was a wonderful experience for both of us and we felt thoroughly relaxed and rejuvenated after our visit.

This hotel is absolutely stunning - it is a bespoke, luxury Japanese onsen retreat in Northern Thailand. I stayed in the Imperial Onsen Suite which had it's own onsen in the room which was lovely. The shared onsens are also nice and are split between men and women. The Japanese restaurant is delicious however my only criticism would be that the staff were not so clued up on the wine selection.

Such a FANtastic and Isolated place to take a good rest, be at present, slow down your life and share a good quality time with your loved family. Service is very attentive particularly the restaurant colleagues including K. Art, K. Beer, K. Yui, K. Best, K. Ton, K. Nook, Chef Wai, Chef Jae and one more Chef (sorry, for not get all the name). Also, Front Office, Housekeeping and colleagues at Onsen - they all have the act of kindness.

In addition, I very much enjoyed an early morning talking with Khun Pol, the Gardener. I feel his passion looking after all the green and I think he added good value to the team. His smiling face is last long in my memory.

Khun Ex, the GM was on site and he manages well the property and takes good care of people in his charge. Well Done.

Morning jogging was memorable experience. Not only me but all my family members are counting down to revisit this place and to enjoy the FANtastic Moment of our Life in the near future. Many thanks,

Onsen at Moncham is your first choice if you want to experience Japanese culture and don’t have much time to visit Japan. The onsen is very relaxing and very well managed. The onsen staff are very helpful and knowledgable regarding how to use the onsen properly. The food here is very tasty both Japanese and international cuisines, don’t miss your breakfast time!

The room decorated in Japanese styleis very cozy and relaxing. The bed is the best ever! We also received a welcome homemade Japanese desert in room upon arrival, very impressive!
