Netherton Farm B&B is situated in a fantastic location overlooking the Cromarty Firth on the North side of the rural Black Isle peninsula. We have five rooms, some with en-suite bathrooms, all available at competitive rates. Netherton is set within a working farm with free-range produce - we'll set you up for the day with a hearty farmhouse breakfast. Ideally placed for exploring the Northern Highlands, Netherton is a comfortable, relaxed B&B and Guest House just off the main A9 road 12 miles north of Inverness. Netherton enjoys outstanding panoramic views to the west, Ben Wyvis and over the Cromarty Firth. The house particularly suits group bookings (for example wedding parties, cyclists or Land's End to John O'Groats travellers), giving you the advantage of privacy in spacious accommodation. We can offer reduced rates for longer lets, for group or corporate bookings, and for repeating regular bookings, particularly during the off-peak months from October to May inclusive.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The most home from home place ive ever stayed. And lost count of the number of times we’ve stayed at this B&B over the years during our travels south from Orkney.. we enjoy the ambience of the place, as well as the food. And my husband enjoys putting the world to with Romy. Fully recommend.

Disappointed in our first stay at a B&B. While the location was great for our needs as well as clean the rest was perplexing. Apon an accidental early arrival on our part we were "welcomed" with a rude & accusatory host. The phrase "You Americans are all the same" was said. To say we were shocked is an understatement. My response was a clam "I'm sorry thought check in was at 3; we have other things to do we'll be back later". Had her attitude not changed I would have contacted our travel booking agent & got a refund then stayed elsewhere. Who wants to find a last minute hotel or place to stay last minute like that. No one. Thats how offended & rude she was. Important information to know in regards to this matter would be we did not demand a room or anything of the sort. We figured the host had something of an emergency to handle. We sat down & were playing with one of the resident pups in no hurry whatsoever. On the plus side food was plentiful & coffee was strong. Room was clean & had we not been verbally treated so poorly off the bat probably would have felt more relaxed & welcomed in the establishment. Honestly wouldn't recommend or stay here again. Due to host lack of hospitality. Couldn't wait to leave.

Really lovely, Kind and warmhearted people. The rooms are clean and comfy. Its a farm, so there are dogs - but they are super friendly and easy to manage I loved them and my nephew (8) too. Overall we got good Tips from the Hostess fro traveling where we could Visit places without a giant tourist crowd. 5/5 - would (and probably will) go there again!

First, Ms. Romay and her two dogs, Ria and Lila, made our stay there feel like home. It really feels like visiting with family. Romay is so warm and caring. Second, the view is amazing! You can’t beat it. Third, the home is so quaint and warm. The area around there is beautiful. Finally, Romay takes care of everyone to start the day with an amazing breakfast. We can’t say enough about this B&B. We’ll definitely make the trip from Florida to Netherton again.

Felt very welcome at Netherton Farm B&B & so did our dog. Comfortable & warm room with a fantastic view. Great breakfasts & interesting conversation with the owner. Really appreciated use of the guest lounge in the evenings with log fire & good Wi-Fi. Would love to come back. If only it wasn’t so far from Suffolk!

My two children and I had the pleasure of staying during the summer holidays. We cannot recommend the location and hospitality enough. Character throughout. Obvious provenance and experience. Which were just the owners. The B&B has character, comfort and all the books you could ever read. Good ones at that. Our breakfast was a real and generous Scot's one, setting us up for the day. Always end on a high - the sunsets are amzing.

We gathered at Netherton Farm for a family wedding and couldn’t have chosen a better place. Romay is a delightful hostess, nothing was too much trouble for her and we loved the characterful rooms, the dogs, hens, glorious views over the Firth and the cosy atrium where guests could make themselves a cup of tea or coffee day or night. Can’t wait to go back!

We were greeted by 3 lovely dogs wagging their tails. The host was very chatty and welcoming and made us feel right at home. Cracking view and nice stay. I can also recommend the local pub for a great meal. Slept well and good breakfast in a relaxed atmosphere.
