Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We ate at the Royal Mail Hotel for dinner tonight and the food was amazing! Slow cooked Beef Ragu Pasta was a treat! Only downside to the night was seeing a chef in the gents toilet drinking beer! I hope that was not the chef that cooked our food! It was Wow but Whoa for us.

We were on holidays for 7 days and went to the Royal Mail Hotel 4 times !! The food was great. Well priced, fresh food and the service was really good. You can order your meals at the bar along with a refreshing drink. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. There is heaps of memorabilia on the walls which was fabulous.

40 years supporting this place and never again.. dinner with 10 people.. I ordered a pizza and got a plate full of absolute slop... could eat the lot through a straw.. so a complaint to waitress who said the "Chef" would "RE DO" the base... no way.. I asked for meal to be swapped but NO.so asked for money back and went next door while the rest of our table ate.. 5 other meals were also garbage. Next minute manager is having a go at me saying I made the waitress cry... so later I go speak to her calmly and she starts crying again.. barmen starts at me, calls manager so yes i lost it at them... if you can't handle complaints then your in the wrong job... banned now for my outburst wich i let fly at them and thank God I won't ever spend a cent there again.. the term "CHEF" is used very poorly in this pub... if you want crap food you can count on the Royal Mail. it's an absolute dump.

The room was tiny, noisy (just as well I had earplugs and to put it in perspective, I am in reality, very deaf) , and had no bathroom. The toilet and shower (only one) was 30 meters away. The light outside stayed on all night, and the upper window had no curtain. The food when we ate in the restaurant was below par. It would be uncomfortable in summer as it had no fan or air-con..All of this for $70 a night.

I was with a group of 18 other diners for lunch on Sunday and all of the group were impressed with the menu choices, the size of the meals and the speedy service. My meal was delicious compliments to the chef. The meals are great value for money. The staff were very friendly and efficient.

This Hotel offers fabulous food at excellent prices along with nightly specials. The children's menu included a free drink and an ice-cream and a small play room was available too. We had a mix of dinners and all loved their meals. The Waitress and Bar Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Superb location on the Corner of Poinciana ... overlooking the parklands that spill down to the water (Noosa River). Historic Hotel with a modern twist. Broad range of meals (and pricing). Options on where to eat ... Friendly, attentive staff. Was quite busy, so allowances for the slight wait. Overall, not cheap ... but I think fair value. All in all, another good Tewantin experience!!!
