Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Swinton Estate is next level wonderful. From the minute you step into the door, the welcome is so warm. Check in includes a glass of prosecco. The bedroom was just perfect, lots of little touches - water, ice and homemade biscuits. The spa is amazing - different saunas, salt rooms and pools. The treatments we had were very good. We ate in the Terrace Restaurant and had the small plates - the food was so excellent - great way to enjoy lots of new things. Breakfast the next morning at Samuels Restaurant was lovely - great choice and all beautiful. Finally we had afternoon tea in the Drawing Room - delicious and we were given a box of the things we couldn't eat. This was a trip for myself and my daughter who is getting married in a few weeks and it was just so much more than we could ever have imagined. We are going to make it a regular trip as we really didn't want to leave. Thank you for an exceptional stay.

Stunning meal in the amazing terrace restaurant following a great spa experience. I will definitely be booking again! The spa itself is brilliant with 2 saunas, 2 steam rooms, an indoor pool and an outdoor natural pool and many other areas. And my favourite part was the lounger overlooking the natural pool. What a great experience topped off with a lunch.

Arriving at the hotel took our breath away. Scenery was stunning. Reception was perfect, our room was upgraded and we had a complementary welcome drink in the drawing room. We felt welcomed and looked after at every stage of our visit

This was our 50th wedding anniversary trip and a little treat for us. Our son and his wife recommended Swinton to us and I have to say, it exceeded our expectations. A very special and memorable visit.

What a wonderful place. The rooms are so quiet, comfortable and well appointed. The staff are super nice knowledgeable and attentive. And the food (dinner and breakfast) were really top notch. On top of all of this, and the spa, there is so much else one can do. If there were six stars , that’s what I’d give it.

The hotel is beautiful, clean and well kept. We really enjoyed our stay but were disappointed that the main restaurant was not available on the 2 nights we were there. All the staff were friendly and helpful and tried to fix problems quickly.

It is a pleasure to return to Swinton Park. Their standards remain first class, particularly with customer service - every member of staff is polite and pleasant, pausing in their tasks to greet guests in passing. This helps to make Swinton such a welcoming place.

The hotel is in a remarkable house with an interesting history, situated in a beautiful location. A nice touch is the gallery with old photos as well as the many other old pictures. It's a good place for anyone wanting to celebrate a special occasion, but rather expensive just for bed and breakfast.

Excellent stay at this hotel. I have been visiting the hotel on and off for many years and it had a patchy start in its early days. However, it is really starting to deliver now. Excellent value for money with one of their offers in Spring. The Spa is also a huge bonus now.
