Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

It was very first time for me in Kanchanaburi, this place has won all my heart by giving a wonderful view all around, the staff are so friendly and helpful, it's located in a prime location from where u can easily visit "Sai yok national park", "Erawan National park" and many local attractions. Its a perfect place to hangout with you friends and family.

I don't understand the comments about this place on booking. It sounded like a wonderful homestay with a real family and homely vibe. This description could not have been more wrong. Although most of the staff was friendly, it did not have an inviting feeling. The waitress in the restaurant was super rude and uninterested in doing her job and the pick-up they offered us never came so after waiting for 15 minutes at the station we ended up walking to the hostel. I can not stress enough: not a homestay! We have been to many homestays in Asia so I know what to expect. Besides that the room was big and clean (apart from the dirty toilet paper that was still in our bin in the bathroom), the beds weren't great, the ac works very well. The food was very average! I guess the bar was very low for all the people who came before us when it comes to food. You can get better food at the market on the main road near the Sai Yok noi waterfalls.

We stayed in two different rooms. One upstairs with thin bamboo walls and shared bathroom, the other one was downstairs with concrete walls and soundproof and private bathroom. Both rooms were very clean and comfortable. Good bedding and linens. And good working aircon in both. The shared bathroom was kept very clean and was no problem. Food in the restaurant is good and affordable. They close at 20:00. There are remarks about booking trips thru their office, and we rented a motorcycle and that is pricey at 350 bath per day. Going rate in other tourist area's is 200 to 250 baht. But it did allow us to visit Erawan Falls without having to book a separate tour. Great ride to Erawan Nat'l Park. We also used the motorcycle to ride to Hellfire Pass Museum. Sai Yok Noi waterfall is a short walk away and there are good and low-priced eateries close to it. They close at 17:00. Train station Nam Tok is walking distance as well, but the hotel will shuttle upon request. We were glad to accept that with our luggage. Overall, a great place to stay at an affordable price, good food and very kind people in a quiet, rural atmosphere.

This is a picturesque place in a beautiful landscape where it’s very easy to feel at home! It has a nicely rural feel without being too far from things to do and “civilisation”. There are multiple amazing sights not too far away including Erawan Waterfall, the death railway, lots of caves, elephants and rafting trips. I had a special bond with the chef, who cooks amazing food for a great price and is just generally fun! Everyone is super sweet! The rooms are clean, with air conditioning, free water bottles for your excursions and a WiFi service. They provide a nice massage for a good price as well! They helped us book stuff although I would recommend checking out some prices in advance, you may be able to get what we got for cheaper. Very low noise pollution despite being very close to a main road that takes you wherever you need to go. Love the place and can recommend very highly!

Accommodating and hospitable. Relaxing and quiet hotel. Clean and comfortable. Good choice of food at reasonable cost. Appears popular with Thai children and families when we stopped. Waterfall short walk away.also from there can catch a ride on motorbike to a natural fish spa room clean with hot and cold shower. Stocked Fridge in room. Pleasant views. Can organise activities from hotel.

We went the waterfall and sleeping here. OUTSIDE: very nice in the jungle! Silent, no cars and motors, just birds and animals sound. Fantastic! :-) INSIDE: CLEAN! no smells, clean beds and shower room. STAFF: Very kindly and lot of smiles. The breakfast is very tasty. Everything good! :-)

We had a pleasent stay. Everything is nice, the staff, the beds, the room, the food in the restaurant etc. Only thing is as you want to book something, you got screwed. More than in other Thai places because you are in the middle of nowhere and they know it. A 2 hours kayak trip for 800 baht... was 1 hour and we must pay it because they already paid it. So their problem turns out to be our problem. Taxi for 16km, 500 baht. Didn’t take it and changed our plans. So, very nice place to stay, but don’t book anything.

Great, friendly and clean homestay that is perfect for visiting from the death railway (10 minute walk from Nam Tok train station) We stayed here for a night in Nov17 after taking the train from Bangkok (train from Thonburi to Nam Tok 100bht). From here we went to Sak Yok Noi waterfalls and Hellfire Pass. Value for money - 5/5 Room - 4.5/5 (basic as you would expect for the price but clean with air conditioning) Facilities - 3/5 (shared toilet but was clean. Eating was in the adjoining restaurant which was very good and cheap) Wi-fi - 5/5 Staff - 5/5 (the owners were great and really helpful for directions) Atmosphere - 3.5/5 (was very quiet, until the cockerel started going at 5am!) Insider tip - easy to walk from the Nam Tok train station. Plus the waterfall is 10-15 minute walk up the road (where there is also local buses to Hellfire Pass and Kanchanaburi for very cheap)

Overall it was a very good stay and the family are super friendly. We stayed only one night but could have extended our stay if we had the time. There isn't a huge amount to be done in there area, we rented a scooter for 350 baht and was able to see pretty much everything. It's nice and quite area to relax. Homestay basically means the family also lives there, at least in this case. Still expect the same a low level hotel.
