Everyone with an appetite for food, culture and nature loves the Italian Piemonte. Barbaresco, Alba, Langhe, Roero... well known locations, marvelous and crowded with tourists. Not so in this hidden gem, just outside of the well-known Iemonte oval btween Bra, and Asti. The building and domain are exceptional. Go and see for yourself on the website! The host, multi-lingual kind and hands-on will turn your stay in a perfect #staycation. And then you have the chef , Maurizio... local dishes but upscale finishing touch and taste. If you’re looking for peace and me-time... this is the place to stay. Wonderful building Spacious rooms Swimming pool with grotto Great cooking Quiet and nice area Cycling, hiking and more
Hidden away, surrounded by rolling hills and open fields. The villa is beautifully restored with a park and large swimming pool with it's own grotto. The owners are continuously improving it and soon the lake will be restored too. Our suite was large with high ceilings and a small lounge. It was very comfortable. There is an honesty bar which is very reasonably priced. We took a bottle of prosecco and sat in the park. Our dinner was delicious and Albert kindly catered for me as a vegetarian. Breakfast is good for an Italian breakfast as there was also scrambled eggs and bacon. We were offered a light lunch but declined. The swimming pool is large and there are plenty of loungers. The baby pool is cleverly under a rock canopy so protected from the sun. Albert was incredibly accommodating and helpful and made the stay extra special! We will definitely return again! …
Not so easy to find. Stunning rooms, all decorated with paintings painted in-house. Great park, romantic grotto right by the pool. No cook available so we had to dine elsewhere. Very charming staff. Be ready to serve youself from a large fridge containing everything from water to very drinkable and very affordable Spumante. Would be perfect for a large family gathering, although a bit in the pricey side considering the self-service for Drinks and the plastic furniture on the terrace. We still liked this very much and will probably be back
The Villa is a very Nice compound located in the rural area. The atmosphere is being in a Remote small castle with a Nice park. The staff is great and They have a delicious restaurant for visitors as Well. It is a great area for biking or for going on Wine trips. It is very Well suited for groups, eg companies, schools etc.
We stayed at Villa val Lemme for 3 nights (4,5,6 of July), a family of 4, coming from a 3 night stay at Torino. The landscape where the villa is situated at, is truly magnificent. Beautiful and relaxing, a small forest. We were welcomed by Alberto, an extremely kind, helpful and multi tasking young man! The room that we booked was the Lemme suite, a very spacious and high ceiling apartment consisting of 2 bedrooms, an entrance hall, a tv room and the bathroom. No airconditioning sadly, but the fans did a good job. We had a dinner at the villa on the first night and it was really good, very well prepared. The breakfast was just decent. The pool area is fantastic and the whole ambience of the site is unique. Not everything was perfect though... Very cheap and unfitting furnishings both in the rooms (closets, lights, bathroom fittings) and in the public places (sofas, chairs etc) spoil both the character and the elegance of the place. Even the billiard table is so worn out that there is no point using it at all. Also a serious maintenance is in need, not just painting over the windows and doors. On our checkout day, while trying to open the curtains in the tv room, the whole curtain rail fell over, just missing my head... Luckily for the owner (and the guests), the site and the relaxing atmosphere surrounding it, more than make up for all the negatives. If only they would decide to bring some taste and quality to the place, respecting it’s character...!…
