We were greeted by a smiling friendly campground staff. They actually seemed eager to help out. The campground is quite large and sits at the base of Mt Talac. Hiking and mountain biking trails abound. Fallen leaf lake is a very short walk over a knoll (well worth it in any weather). Campsites are clean and are interspersed between open...

Fallen Leaf Campground is beautiful and the campsites are spacious. We stayed in campsite 24 which is a pull through campsite that made our tiny little Honda Fit seem even tinier. The bathrooms were very clean and there are several trails that originate at the campground. The staff at the entrance was very friendly and their is also a small...

We've been coming here for annual cousins trip for years. Last year the meanies took over. This year the helpful friendliest are, happily, back in full force. This is a beautiful, spacious, glorious campground, we love the lake, hiking, and everything. If you have too many vehicles per campsite you can put the extras on the road outside the campground...

This is a large campground, I think 188 sites. I was there with my family camping in tents. I expected to see many RVs, but was pleasantly surprised. I guess about half the sites were tents. Plenty of running water, very clean flush toilets, even (pay) showers. We expected to head over to Lake Tahoe, but we were completely satisfied with...

A roomy campground located in a scenic forest a mere stone's throw from the beautiful Fallen Leaf lake. Campground has all the amenities expected i.e.: fire pits, BBQ grills, bathrooms and bathrooms with showers. Some of the sites even feature huge yurts. Very highly recommended

Is the Fallen Leaf Campground perfect in itself? Or does Lake Tahoe just make everything around it seem better than it is? It's a question that philosophers have asked since the time of Tahoe herself, queen of the sapphire deep. The thing is, there's no more beautiful place in America than Lake Tahoe. Did you know it's the second deepest...

This campground is tucked away in South Lake Tahoe. It's far enough away so that it's pitch black and silent at night; however, close enough to ride at bike to Kiva beach, the mini market, or ice cream shop. One way single roads are a little hard on larger RVs. Plus there is no dump, so you will have to...

Gorgeous campground with a mountain river running through the west side. Super clean bathrooms and showers, and stunning mountain scenery around it. Staff was awesome and the grounds were kept very clean everywhere. We WILL come back to stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay at fallen leaf, it was the perfect mixture of being in the wilderness and being conveniently close to South lake tahoe! When we arrived we were warned that the squirrels had the plague and to watch out for bears as they were active in the Campground! Bring from Ireland this scared us but in a...

We arrived late but our welcome pack gave clear instruction. All pitches are amongst trees with loads of area between pitches. All have a fir pit and bbq. No hook up but that's all part of this beautiful place. We saw chipmunks each day and there were bear tracks around our fire area in the mornings. Just over the ridge...
