Pulling up to the castle was an awe inspiring experience. The entire interior is decorated to suit the environment and I was made to feel completely welcome. I took a nice walk down to the water at dusk and then retired to the main hall for tea. So peaceful. I was there with two other ladies that went to their...

My family and I (seven adults in all), really wanted to spend at least one night in castle during our trip to Ireland. My sister and I spent a long time going over our options and eventually settled on Ross castle B&B (in Meath county). What set Ross castle apart was first that it seemed, from the online research I...

We arrived quite late in the evening, but Jackie welcomed us warmly. The interior was very interesting with a set of knight armour, mounted animal heads and antlers, and old books. Loved hearing the stories of the ghosts that presumably roam the castle at night. Our room was beautifully decorated with some great furniture pieces, and everything was clean. Breakfast...

We arrived on May 1 and stayed for two days. It was a great location and the hosts Jackie and Richard made us feel very welcome; what I earned quickly in Ireland its isn't simply that you stay somewhere and there is an exchange of money, the people running the B&B'a are genuinely friendly and Ross Castle was no exception....

We truly loved our experience at this historic castle. :) From the moment we arrived we were treated great by the owners & staff. The tower is breathtaking and you could spend hours checking out the interesting decor. We could tell the owners took great pride in the interior design of this castle. Also, the breakfast was delicious and what...

We spent the weekend in the tower with a group of friends and we had a wonderful time! The place is stunningly beautiful, from the decor inside to the shores of Lough Sheilan. The tower is beautifully preserved and the atmosphere is cozy and comfortable. I will definitely visit again!!

Spent an amazing weekend in Ross Castle. Jackie and Richard were fantastic hosts. The location is beautiful on the lakes and the evening was passed in front of a roaring fire with a glass of red wine. In summary " Just go".

The drive to Ross Castle is gorgeous and sits along the shore of Lough Sheelin. When we arrived Jackie greeted us and showed us around; there was a fire going in the large front fireplace, candles lit and every where you turned their were antiques and books. She also informed us that we were the only guests and we had...
