We’ve just come home from an amazing New Year’s Eve stay at Skipbridge farm. We really enjoyed our night here and would 100% recommend to everyone! We stayed in ‘wallys wagon’ which is litteraly a converted train wagon. It was really unique and quirky and we enjoyed every minute of the stay! Inside the wagon there was a really comfy double bed, a Flat screen TV, clothes rack / hooks, log burning fire, a chair, a fold out table, toaster, kettle, plates, cups, wine glasses, dishes and cutlery. There was also a toilet and shower inside the wagon at one end which was perfect especially when ‘glamping’. It had Everything you could possibly want! Our wagon also came with a private hot tub which was hid at the side of the wagon and fenced in so very private! Towels were provided for both the hot tub and use after the shower so 4 in total as well as a hand towel. We found no faults at all everything was amazing! What a fantastic way to bring in the new year! We also took our miniature dachshund with us and he loved his stay too! There is a fence that goes round the site and there’s llama in there! super cute!!
Thank you for a wonderful stay!! We will be back!

Great place to stay. 1 night in a fab bell tent.We were delighted to get a free upgrade and when we arrived we had been allocated our own shower and toilet for the duration of our stay which was very reassuring.
The tent was great well equipped as was the hobbit hole.
Owners could not be more helpful with nothing being to much trouble. We were given a supply of wood for a fire. Fairylights around the tent made it all the more special.
Not to mention the friendly animals including Dave the llama.
We were even told to leave the dishes as the owner would put them in the dishwasher when we left.
Wonderful stay will definitely be back.
Thank you yo Tom for everything.

From start to finish a very professional set up. Communication from Tom was excellent and the balance was right in that you were left alone to enjoy your stay but only a telephone call away if you needed something. The whole site is beautiful, very well maintained and the contact with the animals a great bonus. Our area was enclosed meaning our 2 dogs could be free which they loved! The tents and the pod were great with more than expected facilities, eg crockery, cutlery. Access to fridge, freezer (with ice), toaster and microwave in the hobbit hole was fab and allowed us to make meals when weather didn’t allow for BBQ. Covid induced bonus for us was that we had our own toilet and shower. Would definitely book again !

Had a fantastic stay in one of the pods here. It had a log burner with all logs etc. provided which kept it warm and toasty. It was lovely and clean inside and close to amenities which were also well looked after. The hot tub was an extra special touch which we loved and was great with the big towels provided. Great value for money. We had a lot of visits from the farm cat which was really friendly, close to nice pubs and a short drive into York. Would definately recommend. The hobbit hole kitchen was also very useful and very authentic.

My friends had their wedding reception at Skipsbridge and I was one of the lucky ones who was able to stay over at the venue. I had a bell tent which was plenty for a solo person on his own. The tents were clearly marked on arrival, there were bottles of water provided along with a comfy bed and plenty of space. The showers, toilet and tea and coffee making facilities were not far away across the field. Around the fields there are animals in fields making the glamping experience even better.
I would recommend a visit here. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and had such a good weekend!

I have waited two years for this visit and it was worth the wait but it won't be another two before I return.
I stayed in Wally's Wagon on a cold December night. Before I arrived I was concerned the wagon might not be warm enough but, with its wood burner lit ready for our arrival, it was toastie and snug, I didn't need the extra layers I had brought! There was plenty of wood to keep us warm through the night.
They provide glasses (including plastic glasses for the hot tub), cups, plates and all that you would expect. The railway theme started at the gate which was an old crossing gate, and continued with a signal and lots of railway memorabilia throughout.
The hot tub was incredibly private and we enjoyed relaxing whilst enjoying the clear view of the stars...with only the ostrich, donkey and ponies for company!
The host was really helpful both before arrival with great directions and information, and when we got there, though unobtrusive, in fact we didn't see them at all but we had their number for any questions and they responded promptly to my one query upon arrival.
I cannot praise this place highly enough, I can't wait to return soon, it was exactly what I needed to de-stress after a tough year. I had high hopes that the stay would be enjoyable but it far exceeded my expectations and I would definitely recommend a stay here.

Booked this as a night away for my husbands birthday. Gorgeous lil plot! Owners have literally thought of everything very clean and provide plenty of towels and even toiletries. Hot tub was amazing and even hot when we arrived. They had even provided throws to sit outside with. I had txt to ask if anywhere had ice and 2 minutes later a man turned up with an ice bucket filled with ice!! Amazing place and would definitely recommend thanks so much we will definitely be back

Well appointed cottage in an excellent location to visit Knaresborough, Harrogate, RHS Harlow Carr.
Gill was an excellent host giving us full instructions how to find accommodation. Everything was ready for our arrival and it was a very comfortable stay.
Locally, there is an excellent Chinese restaurant if you wanted to either eat on or take away.

A perfect quick getaway, I can't recommend this place enough :-) A family-run venue with quirks at every turn. The cottages are beautiful and full of character, and the grounds are definitely worth exploring. We hired the cottage just so we could sit in a hot tub all night and it certainly didn't disappoint!
